When you love someone, I mean truly love them, but they don't return your affection. Should you give up and look for someone else before you lose yourself completely in that person, if so when is the right time??? Or should you continue loving that person in hope, and enjoy the emotion and the feeling???

He doesn't see what you have to offer. So are you just going to sit on the shelf until you shrivel up and expire? Its nice to have a crush and to idealize the person you have feeling toward but you need to be pragmatic about this and move forward on with your life. Pity the guy for not seeing what he is missing out on and wish him well for the future.
This should be about you, not him.

It is always the right time to give up on someone who does not love you back.
It is a miserable life, holding a torch for someone who doesn't feel the same. Believe me, I've been in that situation more times than I care to remember.
You deserve to be loved, don't you? So why not go out there and find someone who will love you as much in return.
Or is it that you don't want to?
Are you holding out for this person because you are scared of finding a loving relationship? (Yes, I've been there as well!)
If you are enjoying the feeling of loving someone from afar, then carry on, but make sure you know your own mind on the matter.
When you realise that you are subconciously sabotaging yourself, then you will soon give it up and find the Right One.

If they will not give you what you need in return then it's time to move on, even though you love them. Try something new with someone else to see how great it is to get affection back to. Maybe the person will see you are not going to hang around and wait for ever and realize what a good person you are.

I think if you are getting nothing back in the sense that they love you, let alone fancy you, then I do feel it is best to give up.
It is a painful thing to love and not be loved back but sometimes it is better to walk away and get closure to the feelings you have then spend your life hoping and waiting and comparing each potential lover to this one guy or girl you put on this pedestral!
I think if it plain to see the other person doesn't like you in the relationship sense then it best to forget all hope of the two of you having a romantic future as it just mucks your head up and causes unneccessary heartache!

SexyShonz1, Sweety I hated to put up the white flag too ! But the sooner the better. There are some people who just don"t know how to give true love. I wasted 7 years of my life. and the last 22 were spent as a disabled shut-in from a motercycle accident after I found my xwife and her lover at my house. So please find a man who will give back the true love that he is recieving !

I'm going through the same thing... I think you should let it go and see if it comes back... as hard as it may be for you to stop and look the other way, you need to. I mean why put 100% into love when the other person is putting 50%??? Its hard, and very unfortunate but you need to be shown the 100% your putting out. Find true happiness in life, have hope that one day you will know what if feels like to be loved 100%. As hard as it may be to let go, you need to...

when you truly love someone, i don't think you can ever "give up" b/c you will always think of them. so i guess you can't give up, but rather try to tell yourself that they aren't the right person, but even then you can't get over them and you still hope that they will love you back like they once did.
idk. maybe if you're really into them and you believe that things will work out in the end, you will stick around and wait for them, until you find someone else.

Well if you love them and feel that they dont love you ask, them. And if they still dont show it, just back away for a minute and see what happens, if you no reaction then leave him alone and find some one better. But if you get reaction then try to work it out but dont try too hard or wait to long because that person just might be what youre looking for

if you know that the other person has no interest in you and you know they aren't going to then i would move on now otherwise your just wasting your life on something that's never gonna happen when you could be out there with someone who loves you just as much as you love them. love is a 2 way street and the emotion and feeling is so much nicer when it is reciprocated.

as soon as possible because its hard to break away from someone you love. but you'll won't get anywhere if you stay with this person. you need to find someone else. 9 times out of 10 the won't love you back. in fact they may just use you when they don't have someone in mind. and when they do find someone they will leave you and you get hurt over and over again. you need to move on and find someone who really care and will love you too.
