If it does kick off into full blown civil war you'll notice by the speed the Body bags are used up and streets full of rotting corpses.

Foreign fighters government militias and the occupying forces are all killing the innocent Iraqi citizens .Even before the Invasion its estimated that over a million Iraqi`s died because of the sanctions put on Iraq by the West
before the Invasion ordinary Iraqi`s didn`t care if their neighbours were Sunni, Shea ,Christian or whatever and it was considered bad manners to ask
now there have been upwards of 650,000 dead 2 million have fled Iraq and another 2 million are internally displaced
of 1 .25 million Iraqi Christians 0.8 million are left
more Iraqis were killed in the first 3 months of the occupation than in30 years under Saddam
and now the puppet master is trying to blame the failure on the puppets
how much worse could it get ?

" A civil war is a war in which parties within the same culture, society or nationality fight against each other for the control of political power." Wikipedia.
this is a definition I can live with, so yes- there is civil war in Iraq.
Absent Saddam, the entire country will have unrest and home-grown terrorism until another powerful dictator can take charge- these are not people who want Democracy.

it's a lame excuse? So I guess you know more than the Iraqi government who is over there and your over here getting your news from Al Zahara (sp), I mean ABC, sorry close difference though.
They might be on the verge of Civil War, but I don't think the Iraqi government would be worried about a Civil War if it were already going on. They said on the Yahoo page today that if we leave a Civil War will probably break out.
Just because you don't agree with it doesn't make it fake, also just because you get your news from Michael Moore and agree with him doesn't make that real either.

in case you think of which you relatively frankly very ignorant. Iraq is in this damaging state because of the fact we invaded it for no reason. Now we cant placed a ideal govt. in place, so for this reason all sections are scuffling with for potential. there is not any question of "if iraq is going to civil conflict', this is Already in a civil conflict. And it doesnt impression us of a? particular it does, we are interior the midst of their civil conflict, that WE created and now we are taking part in the child sitter and attempting to maintain the peace with the value of our squaddies. dropping our squaddies does impression us. If we pull out, it wont stay a civil conflict. Saudis and different will help the Shia, Iran will help Sunnis and the region is gonna exchange right into a multi national combat for territory. And it may all be blamed on who? the USA of a. It became stupid human beings to circulate interior the 1st place withouit having a ideal go out suggestions-set and now we are caught there like idiots attempting to do damge administration.

That's a good point. Isn't a civil war defined as two or more groups fighting over different points of view? Isn't it what's going on now? I guess the government (U.S.) is trying to downplay it right now by not labeling it as a civil war yet.

The argument is that the civil war will escalate and get worse if we leave. But the counter-argument is that the civil war is already escalating and getting worse the longer we stay.
As to who started it..... it's a civil war. Both sides started it -- one by trying to claim power from the other, and one by refusing to acknowledge the new govt as valid.

I have a feeling that the civil war will end and they will take their anger out on America (again)!
And it doesn't matter if you are republican or democrat. To ask a question why does one have to have a label???
