My dad has edema in his wrist and ankle. He aches all over his body and sometimes can't get up. They found very little water in his lungs. He took x-rays and blood test but they cant find what is causing this problem. Last saturday he did ultra sound but won't get results until this saturday. In the meantime he is suffering. He was prescribed some pain killers and Lasik. What can i do. The doctor also said he has slightly low Albumin

it appears that the pain killers would belong to the category of NSAID's, they sound best for this description. lasix is good as a blind attemtp as well, low albumin will typically cause fairly symmetric edema all over the body and not localised to one or two body parts, stay in touch with your doctor and ask about second opinion if he/she has not been able to find an answer, rheumatologist would be a good second opinion, good luck
