About the biology of sex? When did the government take over the job? Why? Who told us that MOTHERS did not know how to teach their children about sex without a political bias?

My Mother, the nurse taught me, and I feel like it is my job as Mother, and I am wondering who took that job from us? And mostly when? I am testing categories.

It just seems like WOMEN get more choices than MOTHERS.

I know where you are coming from and i promise i will teach my future daughter(s) everything they need to know. Hell, i'll even get them a vibrator if it'll calm their hormones enough to not make the same mistakes i did... BUT not every mother is/was/will be like us. Many kids are left to fend for themselves in this department because their parents either don't care or don't think its an issue yet. My best friend from high school started having sex when she was 14(with her 17 yr old boyfriend), is now a senior in college and to this day her mother thinks she's a virgin. Everything she learned about sex was from that older guy that all he has to do is say "everything will be fine", "theres nothing wrong with what we're doing" and girls that young are putty in a guy's hand if not taught the reality of sex.

I dare say that this movement began in earnest around the time my mother was a young woman.
What I learned in health class was biased, and contrary to the teachings of my mother. The unbiased information I received was through biology class, and life at granddad's farm . . .
My mother was shy about talking to us, but would answer any questions we had. In my own home, we address the issue with a talk at the time puberty starts, and otherwise their aren't any restrictions on our dialog, as long as it is approached with maturity.
Not to say my kids don't use 'cutesy' terms ever, just not when we are serious about the topic.
Mothers and fathers are being systematically and continually pushed aside in order for the schools/government to take over, and parents are allowing this course. The government is infiltrating our lives, and until the majority of parents take back the reigns of child rearing, it will only get worse.
Two latest news items:
NH has passed a law that allows children to get abortions without parental notice or consent.
AZ is debating a bill that would fine teachers for indoctrinating children in Liberal dogma.

Liberals. We are not capable of making our own decisions. Schools can teach some of the biology but like you say always biased. Schools cannot teach right or wrong in any meaningful way. There was no sex ed until at least the 80s.
You will be amazed how much smarter your parents get as you age.

Good question and deserves a straight answer. The truth is many mothers don't understand the biology of sex. There are many other Christian mothers that just refuse to talk about sex with their children for fear that talking about sex is a sin. All these children need sex education. Public school is the perfect place to teach sex to teenagers. Most teenagers will have sex. it's a fact. A good sex education and unrestricted access to birth control items will prevent many unwanted pregnancies and the spread of deadly venereal diseases among teenagers. Don't allow children to be told babys come from underneath a cabbage leaf.

Your question cracks me up for some reason. I don't really know why.
I think that it's best for the parents to teach their children about sex and all that good stuff. It's just that some (like my parents) were too embarrassed to do so, I had to learn from my public school in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. I turned out fine anyway, but I'm still going to be teaching my kids that stuff when it's my turn.

Actually, my mother NEVER spoke to me about sex at all, so I'm glad the school did!
And how is sex ed in the schools POLITICALLY biased? You can't have sex with a republican? I don't get the connection.
By the way, answerers, the asker isn't implying that mothers are stupid, she's implying that the gov't thinks she's too stupid to do the job on her own...

I think that the schools do it just in case parents are not educating their children at home. But I personally feel that the school does not tell the teens everything. There is a lot of info that is kept out and that is where the parents come in. But we should be educating our own kids neways that way there will be no miscommunication and no accidents.

No, with parents not taking responsibility for their children and expecting the government (i.e. school system) to take care of it, that is where Mothers messed up. I've locked horns with the school system a few times. See my 360 and ask me about it sometime! I have a classic!

1. Before she had you.
2. When you were not looking.
3. Why, politicians of course.
Apparently you did not take your little pills today and check in with Big Brother. Too bad, we will have to send you to the reconditioning center, AGAIN. Please sit outside your cubicle and the nice men in the white truck will come and escort you. Maybe this time we will use more voltage during your electro rehabilitation. Do not worry; we will have you readjusted to the norms of society soon. Thank you for letting us know exactly where you are? Thank you and have a nice day.

Mother's have a right to teach their children about sex and they should. It is probably awkward but it is best for the children to hear it from their parents, if they have healthy normal parents.
