Learn about the ...to you I would say..You are right..I wouldn't question the power of God either..something you should think about..
JW's never tell it like it is..
You do not speak the truth when you say..We never said the JW's are the only ones to survive..That is nonsense and you know it..That is exactly what you believe..

As for a the narrow gates..I know that scripture well..That is still not for you to say that JW's are the ones that have the Truth and Gods favor..
Even if the number of suvivors were a billion..That is still a very few number compared with the amount of people on this earth.

LineDancer......I know those scriptures that you quoted..and as I said above..Even if there were 1 billion people to survive..even 2 billion..that is a drop in the hat still compared to the number of people on this earth..

As for True Christians...That goes both ways..JW included..Not all are true Christians..Only God knows.

You know one thing that I have found in reading and asking these questions to JW's..They do not tell the truth about their beliefs and how they really feel..They don't tell it like it is..
I know for a fact that JW's think they are the only ones to survive..They think they are the only ones with God's favor..They don't come right out and say it here..But, I know for a fact that is what they teach and believe..
Why..Why..? can't you tell it like it is..?

Learn about the one ….You really think that no other people are walking Crist like? You think that Christians that are not JW..lie..steal, cheat, and all of the other things you mentioned..You are not seeing the full picture..only what you want to see..True Christians, regardless of their religion do none of those things..As far as Christmas, and birthdays go..That is for God to decide if that is wrong or not..and he didn't mention that in the Bible..you put your own interpertations to that..

Jehovah's Witnesses do not pretend that they know which individuals will survive Armageddon and which will not. Witnesses believe the bible to teach that nearly all dead humans will be resurrected to perfect bodies in a restored paradise earth.

Jehovah's Witnesses well-recognize the plain bible truth that a Christian can disqualify himself from salvation, particularly as that applies at Armageddon (emphasis added to following citations).

(Matthew 24:13) But he that has endured TO THE END is the one that will be saved.

(Philippians 2:12) Keep WORKING OUT your own salvation with fear and trembling

(Hebrews 5:9) [Jesus] became responsible for everlasting salvation to all those OBEYING him

Jehovah's Witnesses hope to demonstrate love and devotion for God and Christ when they pursue the qualities and work indicated by the Scriptures. Similarly, Witnesses work to avoid the qualities and pursuits which the bible teaches is displeasing and distracting from God and Christ.

No Witness would pretend that any "works" could change the fact that salvation is always an undeserved gift. God and Christ are beautiful, majestic, merciful persons who have the power, wisdom, justice, and love to preserve alive any who they will.

Until that time, Jehovah's Witnesses preach a message of "good news", and leave all judging for Jehovah and Jesus to perform "on the last day".

(Acts 10:36,42) Declare to them the good news of peace through Jesus Christ: this One is Lord of all others. ...this is the One decreed by God to be judge of the living and the dead

(John 11:23-25) Jesus said to her: “Your brother will rise.” Martha said to him: “I know he will rise in the resurrection on the last day.” Jesus said to her: “I am the resurrection and the life.

(John 12:48,49) The word that I [Jesus] have spoken is what will judge [a person] in the last day; because I have not spoken out of my own impulse, but the Father himself who sent me has given me a commandment

(John 8:16) if I do judge, my judgment is truthful, because I am not alone, but the Father who sent me is with me

(Matthew 12:36) They will render an account concerning it on Judgment Day

(John 5:22,27-30) [The Father] has committed all the judging to the Son... 27 And he has given him authority to do judging, because Son of man he is. 28 Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out... I judge; and the judgment that I render is righteous, because I seek, not my own will, but the will of him that sent me.

(Acts 17:30,31) God has overlooked the times of such ignorance, yet now he is telling mankind that they should all everywhere repent. Because he has set a day in which he purposes to judge the inhabited earth in righteousness by a man [Jesus] whom he has appointed

In addition, Jehovah's Witnesses are quite famous for teaching that "hell" does not exist as Christendom has taught it; God has *NOT* arranged for any such place of fiery torment for sinners in some netherworld. The original Hebrew and Greek words most commonly translated as "hell" actually refer to the common grave of mankind; the Scriptures point forward to a time after Armageddon when humans will live forever and death and "hell" are themselves destroyed.

(Ecclesiastes 9:5) For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all

(Ecclesiastes 9:10) there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in Sheol ["hell"]

(Revelation 20:14) And death and Hades ["hell"] were hurled into the lake of fire

It is consistently suspicious while folks attempt to flip a query discussion board right into a debate discussion board or an essay discussion board. This offers just one man or woman an knowledge, to not ask a reputable query, however to submit his or her possess apologetics. This is what's so evidently in proof right here. The query will also be spoke back readily: The Studies within the Scriptures had been priceless expertise *for his or her day*, a long way and above what was once being positioned out via the mainstream church buildings as Christian doctrine. But neither Russell nor any person else notion that they had been the "final phrase" on Bible reality, or that there might be no later refinements or changes. I and lots of different Witnesses have Studies within the Scriptures in our individual libraries, and feature learn them for his or her ancient and academic gem stones. But the common "digs" approximately Russell, akin to his being a Freemason, simply exhibit the insincerity of this "query," and retain gossip that's a lie. I recognise Freemasonry. Russell was once no longer a Freemason, or even Freemason headquarters verify this. You have your possess ideals and your possess time table. Fine, however do not attempt to reward individual critiques as reality to Jehovah's Witnesses. We recognise higher, however Yahoo!Answers isn't hooked up to properly deal with such issues.

"Jehovah's Witnesses believe their work to be a life saving work. Why would they engage in it if they believed that there was no hope for others? They are certain that God's mercy will extend to many kinds of people. The apostle Paul stated that God is going to have a resurrection of "both the righteous and the unrighteous." (Acts 24:15) So, Jehovah's Witnesses believe that many will be saved who are not now Jehovah's Witnesses.

"With regard to the coming "great tribulation," and being saved through that conflict, the Bible shows that people must turn to God and take their stand on His side if they wish protection from Him. Jesus said: "Just as the days of Noah were, so the presence of the Son of man will be." (Matt.24:21, 37-39)" -4/15/70 Watchtower

You took something you heard and ran with it. No Jehovah's Witness ever told you ONLY JW's were going to survive Armageddon. We DO NOT say that. Whoever Jehovah wants to are those who will survive. I'm sure some JW's leading double lives will not make it. Doesn't change the fact that you have stated something untrue...twice.

Rev. 7:9, 10, 14: “I saw, and, look! a great crowd, which no man was able to number, out of all nations and tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, dressed in white robes; and there were palm branches in their hands. And they keep on crying with a loud voice, saying: ‘Salvation we owe to our God, who is seated on the throne, and to the Lamb.’ . . . ‘These are the ones that come out of the great tribulation.’”

See that part about NO MAN WAS ABLE TO NUMBER...wow...doesn't go alone with your theory does it.

POST SCRIPT: Quote: "Suzette R......It doesn't go alone with JW's therory either now does it?" Unquote.

You're wrong. You are only stating you're skewed thinking and issues you have with JW's. That is not my problem, it's not the problem of my brothers and sisters, it's not God's problem, it's your problem. And baby, THAT'S telling it like it is.

Pfft! Apostate dribble.

Don't you think that this is a very low number?

No. The bible is clear. Only a few who claim to be God's people will enter his kingdom.

Mat 7:14 - "But the gateway to life is small, and the road is narrow, and only a few ever find it."

There are million's and millions of Christains on this earth...

Not just on Earth, but under it. There are millions who through history killed in the name of God or adopted pagan gods and called it Jesus, but Jesus made again clear...

"Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. " Matthew 7:21

What is his father's will?

Mat 6:10 "Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as [it is] in heaven."

Mat 10:7 - "And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand."

I am part of the restoration church, a born again christian but I studied with the JWs for quite a while in order to understand their belief. If you were to ask one, they would quote

Matthew 7:14
But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

They believe that very few people WILL inherit the earth after armagedon, and 144,000 of those will rule in heaven with God over those here on earth. Telling them the statistics you just mentioned would just confirm their belief in thier eyes. Also, they do not believe born-again christains will inherit the earth.

I can quote scriptures too..1Cor.10:12 "Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed that he does not fall"....I think this is an admonition against over confidence, and arrogance.

Suzette...you are being purposefully misleading..Questioner was not referring to Jw's leading a double life..You preach and adhere to the belief that unless you are actively in or sea king guidance from the WBTS, that you will be lost at Armageddon.

Good question

Jehovah's witnesses NEVER once claimed to be the only religion to survive Armageddon; and they never try to convert people. They simply teach people what the bible actually says.
there are 100,000 congregations and it seems to be growing faster than most religions. Where as many churches are being sold sadly.

As the population of Jehovah's Witnesses grows, their assertion of the number of people to survive Armaggedon also grows. It started off at 7,000. Then it went to 700,000. Now it's 7 million and if their cult gets any larger, it'll probably change to 77 million.
