it all depends on the cat. she may want to do that or she may be scared and u'll have to let her have her space. let her do what she wants when she first gets there and don't bother her too much until she shows that its okay

Callie is going to be very scared. You didn't say how old she is, but she needs a small place first, because small places make cats comfortable. Put her in the bathroom with all her stuff and visit her often. Sit on the floor and let her come to you. Talk to her softly so she will start to trust you. Pet her gently. After she is comfortable with you, let her out -- but I'd keep her in the bathroom for at least a week. (If you don't do that the first place she'll go is under the bed.)
By putting her in the bathroom she'll get to know the sounds and smells of the house in a non-threatening manner. She'll also know where her litterbox is. Think of how large your house is in comparison to the size of the kitten. If she has to "go" and she's far away from her litterbox, she'll go on the carpet and that will get her in trouble.
Do everything gradually and she'll turn out to be a happy cat.

Every cat is different, she could do a number of different things like sniff around and explore from room to room, hide in a place she feels comfortable b/c she doesn't know you and is afraid, she could be playful. I think it's best to leave her be for a little while and then see what she does. You can introduce toys a little while after she seems comfortable in the house. But definately show her where the litterbox is when she gets in the house. I'm assuming you don't have any other pets in your house, b/c if you do then you should probably keep her away from the other pets for a while.

Depends on her personality. Some outgoing kittens are curious, others are shy and will hide. You might want to confine her to one room, like a bathroom for the first day or so until she gets used to you and the place. Kittens have tendency to want to hide at first and you might find her trapped behind a washer or big piece of furniture if she is scared initally.

First you need to show her where her food will be or is, and also where the litter box is, then show her the house, and then play with her so that she gets to know you as her partner. Eventually, she will tell you exactly what you should do for her where and when and also how. Our cats train us not the other way around although we do not admit it.

First show her the litter box and then where her stuff is. Let her explore the house room by room, under your supervision. And watch to make sure she doesn't go on the floor. She'll probably be too busy exploring to play at first.

She will want to do all of the above. Be sure to show her where the litter box, food & water are. If you have a large house, you may want to add a 2nd litter box for upstairs until she is older. This 2nd litter box can be gradually moved closer to the main box then you can take it away.
Enjoy your new kitty.

She might be a little scared, and will want to explore for a while. When she gets used to the house, she will most likely be pretty wild and playful!! Btw, good luck!!

Show her the litter box, food area, and let her explore, then after a couple hours you can play with her or when she feels comfortable
