It's going to be an unknown. There's so much luck involved in these tourneys, and with thousands of players, it could be anyone. Not Phil Hellmuth. He's too afraid to call an all-in bet. Not Doyle; he doesn't have the stamina. He starts playing bad when he's tired. The other 3 are great, but so are a lot others. Today I read that the final table will not start until July 17th. Back to your bet: I like Johnny Chan best.

my pre-tournament favorite for any tournament he enters is phil ivey, but he's out now too
however, trying to pick the winner of the main event is like trying to win the lottery, it's almost impossible...the amateurs so outnumber the pros that the amateurs, even though less skilled, are favored to win over the smaller number of pros in the field...however, i can guarantee that at least one big-name pro will make the final table, and no matter how many entries there are i think one big name will always be at the final table, and just to throw a name out there i think daniel negreanu has the best chance, he went deep last year and his strategy was fantastic, and if the cards fall his way he can get to the final 9 for certain

Sorry buddy, J. CHAN and D.BRUNSON are already out. Good luck with the rest of your pick. But honestly, because of the large field, I don't think it's going to be a pro who win the Main Event.
