Try Cetaphil. It is cheap and you can get it just about anywhere. It cleanses very well and leaves your skin soft and moisturized.

Not only do I have dry skin, its also sensitive. I use Eucerin Dry Skin Solutions Face Wash. It's not too expensive, $6.99 for a bottle at Walgreens. It works awesome! It doesnt leave your skin greasy feeling. I recommend it. I also wash my face in the shower now, my dermotologist told me that when you wash your face in the shower, your pores are open at the largest (from the warm water), and your face will absorb a good amount of moisture. It worked for me. My skin is perfect now.

Cetaphil's okay, Neutrogena's okay; I use a bar soap that has vitamin E in it. Don't rub with a washcloth; just get water on your face and wash over the basin with your hands. Air dry, or pat gently - don't rub. Moisturize afterwards with something light and possibly with SPF in it.
Even if you have acne, or you're a guy, you should moisturize after letting your skin air dry. They make 'for men' moisturizers now, or use something light and plain (I like green tea infused) from the drug store.
If you have acne, I totally recommend using the three-step plan at acne.org; it's simple and works.

hey i have the same problem.
i use cuticura dry facial wash, and also my local supermarket's own make of dry skin facial wash.
i also find that if i use a face cloth to exfoliate my face then i get rid of the dry skin that is coming off my face,
and finally i use e45 cream to put the moisture back into my skin

Try the E45 range. Don't be afraid of dry skin - I was for many years. Dont forget to exfoliate and then treat with a good moisturiser - E45 works for me. Hope it does for you - don't spend a fortune trying advertised products!
