My personal favorite is "PUT THIS BACK ON!!!"

There are, however, many more classy and beautiful sayings on this website:

Each others names or initials and the wedding date;

A romantic quote from poetry or a religious one;

I always liked what Abraham and Mary Lincoln had engraved in her wedding ring: Love Is Eternal

But getting anything engraved in a wedding ring is entirely optional.

A wedding date and initials is an ok choice, but it doesn't say much about you as a couple. What about something you always say to each other? They don't have to be the same for both - they could be the pet names you have for each other. You could always choose what goes in the other's and make it a surprise. But I think it should be more original than just a date, because "forever" is so much more than one day in the past.

I had "my precious" engraved on the inside of my husband's ring. It's a joke between us. It's what Gollum says in Lord of The Rings.

My parents had their intials-PDS to HSG on 2-15-35 engraved on their rings. When we can part with our rings-I don´t want to take mine off-we will do the same.

Our wedding date was 8/4, so he picked 8-4-ever, which I thought was really clever.

Forever. Always. Eternity. My Beloved Is Mine And I am His/Hers. And there is always the old tried & true of your names and wedding date.
