Because your salivary production is less at night your bacteria have more ability to make their favorite thing...plaque. A dry environment allows the plaque to be more sticky and builds up quicker. Brush and floss at night that will give the bacteria less to work with while producing their by-product.

You could try leaving water by your bed and when you wake up take a drink and swish with it too. That's not always easy to remember, but it is an option.

HELLO,
YES, YOUR BREATH STILL SMELLS IN THE MORNING IF YU'VE BRUSHED THE NIGHT BEFORE.
WHY?
BACTERIA ARE ALWAYS FORMINGIN THE MOUTH. IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO COMPLETELY ELIMINATE THEM.
FYI, EVERYONE GETS MORNING BREATH BEFORE THEY BRUSH.

The biggest cause is phlegm, and that is a anasal condition. Before you go to bed, try washing out your nose. I know it sounds yuck, but here is a great web site for you to find out more.
