Yep, specially if it's Mad Dog 20/20, Wild Irish Rose, Thunderbird, Red Rocket, Red Rooster or Night Train!!! Oh, and don't forget the brown paper bag, it's a sign of true wine drinking etiquette!

It's not good manners to share a bottle of wine that way, plus if it's a decent wine it will benefit from the exposure to the air when poured into a glass. If you won't finish it, it may spoil easier after you've been drinking from the bottle.
If you're all by yourself & drinking the entire bottle of cheapo wine, well... I don't think etiquette is your biggest worry at that point.

It is OK, I guess, if you are the only one to have any wine from that particular bottle, but you miss some of the bouquet, when you do not pour it into a wine glass. Plus you would draw a lot of attention in the restaurant.

if there's no-one looking there's nothing stopping you, but from an etiquette view-point, no. And anyway, if you've bought a bottle of wine, and it's not so cheap that it tastes like vinegar, why not take time to enjoy it? Gulping it from the bottle isn't generally condusive to leisurely drinking.

Sure its okay to do so, but as a taster would recomend a wine glass so that way when you "swirl" the wine in the glass, it allows it to breath, which from my experience makes the wine taste better and makes it more potent.

If you are a wino and its cheap wine in a sack.

Decent wine has a bouquet that you cannot smell (or enjoy) when you drink it directly from the bottle.

Sure. And while you're at it, why don't you go ahead and wrap that bottle up in a nice brown paper bag and stand outside next to the burning garbage can so you can keep warm. LOL, just kidding. What you do in the privacy of your own home is your business.

If Im very tired, on an airplane & if im not having anything to eat with it (they give little bottles).
If im exhausted & if its a little bottle at home & no company, maybe. Depends on how i feel like drinking it.
Otherwise, NO. Its tacky. Very poor mannered. You also cant enjoy it totally when drinking it from the bottle.

Only if your wine glasses have been broken.

Or if it's wrapped in a paper bag, and you are on the street.

And it's very cheap wine.

It's not very classy, plus if you spill you're going to have a tough stain to get rid of. I would advise against it.
