I see it said in here all the time that Catholics, JWs, Mormons... etc. are not Christians. Who defines which churches are Christian and which are not? How can you be so sure your's is?

By their fruits (or actions). Matt. 7:20, Jesus tells us this. What are these? Galatians 5: 19-24 lists some of these things on both sides of the spectrum. Which do most of the religions follow?

They would also all speak in agreement regarding spiritual things. There would not be divisions. They would follow the teachings of God and not their own desires with smooth talking to deceive people. (Romans 16:17-19; 1Cor. 1:10) Looking in one of yearly fact almanacs years ago, there was 29 varieties of Methodists and even more varieties of Baptists. Is this in anyway speaking in agreement?

They would realize God does not share devotion with false beliefs. He forbid it in the 10 commandments. Jesus spoke about it. So did the apostles in their writings. So what about todays religions who mix beliefs from pagans with Christianity? For instance, everything about Christmas is of pagan origin except for the name. Jesus and his apostles never mentioned any such celebration. Would true Christians have anything to do with such paganism?

They would also follow orders from Jesus. Read the last paragraph in the book of Matthew. Orders from Jesus very plainly. Who is doing that today?

Christians believe that Christ was the savior and that eternal life is only available through a personal relationship with him.

Catholics have a lot of works based beliefs.

Mormons and JW's add a lot of extra-biblical ideas too.

Judge it out for yourself.

Suggestion; the people and the 'churches' are different. Is that where the above question is presently 'going'?

I think the bible defines christianity.

u can tell by which ones go with the bible and which ones ignore the bible.

take for instance catholics. the bible says not to speak repetative prayers (rosary), not to speak with dead (prayer to mary), doesnt speak anything of the trinity, and says to ask god for forgiviness, not man (confession).

*shrug*
