Solar flares have nothing to do with global warming becasue solar activity has been decreasing significantly since the 1950's.
You're right that the Earth warmed after the ice age, that's natrual. However, we're warming FASTER than the natural warming cycle. There's an undeniable correlation between the increase in temperature and the increase in man-made greenhouse gasses.
Mars is not "melting." If it were melting, we'd see rivers and oceans on Mars. Google "mars" and "icecaps" for two seconds. The Martian poles are evaporating, not melting, because they're made mostly of dry ice (frozen CO2). This is normal and seasonal lasting long periods of time. When mars shifts out of it's "summer" months, the C02 settles again in the form of dry ice.

Solar flares have not been proven to cause global climate change.
Driving a Prius will not help global warming, but driving any fuel efficient car can help delay the day when the world runs out of oil.
Scientists do not know what causes ice ages to start or end.

I noticed you provided zero evidence to support your claim that solar flares are proven to cause global climate change. This is not suprising, since solar flares have NOT been proven to cause global climate change. Greenhouse gas emissions account for 80-90% of the acceleration in global warming we've seen over the past 40-50 years.

Greenhouse gas emissions are not the only causes of global warming. There are also natural causes, which caused the planet to enter and exit ice ages in the past. However, these natural causes (including solar flares) cannot account for the recent acceleration in global warming.

If Solar Flares are proven to cause Global Climate change, how is driving a Prius going to help?
Next to nothing, thumbs up to you.
The only advantage of driving a hybrid is that the braking power in city traffic is turned into electricity and re-charged into it's batteries.
On the open road, the power still has to come from gasoline,
by roughly 12 horsepowers per gallon / per hour.

The Gore's are handling the Prius incident as a private family matter and they refuse to speak about the actions of their Sun.

As long as we are not willing to drill for oil in the United States or build any additional refineries, we will need those types of gas savings.

It'll make the yuppies feel better. That way, if something does go bad, they can always blame the people who didn't drive Prius's.
