I use conditioner when shaving my legs and I'm not hung up on brand of razor. I mean all razors have blades and get the job done it's just a matter of stroke on the shaver's side. I heard the shaving cream is the best but I personally don't feel like you need a certain razor nor do I feel like it matters which you use cream, soap, shampoo etc. When I shave I tend to shave over my knee , I guess I have hairy knees and legs because I find when my legs have stubble so does my knee caps.

When you shave your legs, you should shave what you're most comfortable with. Some women, like my mother, don't need to shave above the knee, b/c they don't have a lot of hair there. I shave my entire leg & my arms as well. My arms aren't particularly hairy, but I like that smooth feeling. It's really a personal choice. I don't use shaving cream, I use shampoo, body wash, or conditioner. Conditioner is really good, you soak your legs in water & then let the conditioner sit on it for awhile to soften the hair, & the hair is easier to remove. I never use shaving cream, I don't like it and I find it's a waste of money. The razor I've found that gives me the closest shave, with no ingrown hairs is the Mach 3. It's a man's razor, but it works best for me. Good luck. 2D

Depends. If you aren't very hairy on your thighs, then don't shave because shaving makes the hair grow in more. If the hair on your thighs show, then certainly shave further up, especially if you are wearing shorts or a bathing suit, or if you expect somebody will be running their hands over your legs. As far as what to shave them with -- not shampoo, but certainly hair conditioner. I recently started using conditioner, and find it MUCH better than shaving creams or gels, even the ones for sensitive skin. It softens the hair and smooths the skin and your legs feel better after the shave than before. Use a decent quality razor that needs replacement blades -- never use a disposable razor because the blades are crappy and don't give a good shave.

if you're using shampoo, conditioner, shaving cream, soap whatever, you can still do the entire leg. i use shaving cream and i shave my entire leg. but it depends on what you want to do. a lot of younger girls just shave to the knee and down. when i first started shaving that's what i did, but now i do the entire thing. if the hair isnt noticable above your knee then you don't need to shave it unless you feel comfortable doing it...i recommend venus razors, they work best for me..and use shaving cream, not shampoo. i use skintimate brand gel. and i prefer the gel over the cream.

I shave my whole leg. but you should be sure to exfoliate first before you shave to free any dead skin that might cause ingrowns. My mother only shaved up to her knee. That is very outdated concept. Shaving cream is good but they have all kinds of new razor that have the shaving cream built into them. Intuition, venus and I also never use disposables. Hope this helps

It is up to you if you want to shave your whole leg or just below the knee. I shave my whole leg, with soap. Shampoo works too. You can either get a normal razor, or a electric razor. Both work fine, but electric razors are safer, but much more expensive, and break sometimes.

personally i would say do your whole leg... the top part grows hair too so why wouldnt you shave it? but its up to u... shaving cream is good, but i like to use conditioner!!! it leaves your legs sooooo smooth afterwards!!! also shave your whole leg in a downward motion first and then repeat doing it upwards... this gets rid of all the little hairs and bumps that are left after you shave... *venus razors are very good, but i just heard about another razor on someone elses forum its called gillette fusion they said it has 5 blades!! i bet that works great!!!* neways good luck!! <3

I use shaving cream for my legs. If your hair is fine at the thigh, then I wouldn't worry about it. I usually shave it anyway just cause my boyfriend touches my legs alot and I get paranoid. Shampoo is not as good as the cream just becuase it doesn't protect as well and you could get red bumps on your thighs.
