I use Zicam nasal swabs, no taste, lol. I find it works well to shorten the duration and severity of any cold. Remember colds are caused by a variety of "rhino viruses" and zinc, the primary ingredient in Zicam blocks replication of viral RNA, so when you apply it directly to the source of infection, the nasal mucosa, you really do affect the viruses there. Be sure to follow the instructions, do not insert the swabs too far or it can burn a bit, won't hurt you, but it's uncomfortable. If you have a great deal of burning and swelling, don't use it again, some few people have had allergic reactions. I also use Zicam on a regular basis to help me avoid getting colds, I haven't actually had a cold in three years as a result.

It works great for me. I aways keep it in the house and at the very first sign that a cold/flu may be coming on, I start using it. If you use the Gel Swabs you avoid any unpleasant taste.

I tried it a few times. My cold still lasted 9 days. 3 days getting sick, 3 days being sick, and 3 days getting better.

I personally don't think it's worth the investment.

I tried it. The dosing schedule was a real pain. It didn't work for me because I was suffering allergies and didn't know it.
