Because he chose to join the Army? No-one is conscripted these days. If he's fighting the insurgents in Iraq, it might just be because that's what armies do. If you've only just realised this, then heaven help us.

I am sympathetic towards your position. If "this" refers to the war, it won't end until we give upour dependency on oil and at the same time decide what our relationship should be with the middle east. Unfortunately both have bleak answers.
So chances are, the war won't end and will continue to degenerate into a civil war, regional war and finally a world war with nukes being used.
So, when the cockroach is the largest surviving land creature or humans mutate into a more peaceful life form, we have to rely on prayer and doing the right thing such as yur hubby.

Hopefully soon. I was watching the news this morning and the democrats are demanding that Bush give them a timetable of when the troops can come home. Good luck to you and your husband. Pray he gets back safe and soon.

He is there to make sure that the US (and Europe for that matter) will not be overrun by moslim extremists and terrorists. God bless your husband, his unit and all allied forces in Iraq.

I had a friend out there he came back about 6 months ago and he was fine and i'm sure you husband will be back.
