Why is it when we tell you we rae not really interested you keep coming back? I have flat out told you people I do not believe that jospeh smith was a prophet and I am NOT interested in your church, so why do you keep knocking on my door? I am a Christian, I believe in God but you say since I dont go to your church I will still go to hell. I dont believe you. why do you keep pushing, do you not realize your behavior makes people very mad? and you turn more people off with your attitude than anything else? I watched your stupid movie on jospeh smith, I still think he was a habitual lier looking for attention.

Of course everyone is entitled to their own opinion about God and Religion and in your case, whether or not you believe Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God. I am a member of the LDS church, and I don't know why people keep knocking on your door. I was a missionary for the church a few years ago and whenever someone told me that they were not interested, I respected their wishes and left them alone. In my experience though, most of the time when people told me that they were not interested, they didn't even know what they were not interested in. The reason why I served a mission is because the teachings and lessons that I have learned through my life as a direct result of being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, have brought me great happiness. I wanted to share that same happiness with others, but I tried to never be annoying or try to make people upset with the church which I represented at the time. Like I said before, if they told me to go away, I would. By being overly persistant and completely arrogant about being a member of the church most of the time drives more people away than it does attract. If you don't believe thats fine, that doesn't mean you are a "bad" person. There is not anything that everyone in this world believes to be truth. Including the LDS churches teachings, and that is fine. I on the other hand have had many experiences that have led me to know that the teachings of the church are the truth, and if a person will follow them, it will help them to lead a happier life. Like I said before, you are entitled to your own opinion and if you believe what the Members or Missionaries are telling you or not, thats fine. Thats your decision and nobody can make you think otherwise. It's not the church that's annoying, its some of the members that don't listen when others want them to stop pushing their beliefs on others.

Cindy, I am starting to think you are saying this just to put the LDS church down, if this was really going on after the third time an intelligent person would have contacted the church (their numbers are in the phonebook, online) plus they would have contacted the local authorities. Yes in a sense I am calling you a LIAR. I usually don't do this very often but I feel that you are making all of this up.
I have seen many people who are bugged by the LDS Missionaries, when you ask them to leave and not return, they do exactly that.

We do NOT believe that you are going to hell. That was a sticking point with me before I joined, because I do not believe that the majority of people who don't believe exactly like everyone else are going to burn in hell, or that God is going to throw people in hell for joining the wrong denomination or something.
If they come again, just tell them no and shut the door. If you know it's them before you answer, you don't have to answer the door. Or ask the police dept if a "No Solicitation" sign will legally keep them off your property.

I know the question of how to get rid of Mormon missionaries has been asked here in the past, and some of the answers were quite good.
The most common one I can remember is to show up at the door naked, though that one might work better for JWs.

Put a sign up on your door that clearly says "No Solicitations Allowed". You can get these signs at home stores like Home Depot or hardware stores/
This SHOULD work to keep them from knocking on your door.
You can put up another sign too that I found helpful, although I had to make the sign myself:
"No Missionaries Allowed: Do Not Knock"

Well I actually find them very polite. But seeing as my whole family is morman except for my own I am Badgered by them regardless of what we say and we are constantly told that were gonna go to hell. My aUnt wrote a 17 page letter telling her all the faults in her life!! But you shouldt talk about them like that. He was not a habitual liar seeking attention". Just let them believe what they want to believe And if they come around jst give them some cookies pretend like you are listening and send them on there way : )

Here's a good way to get rid of them. Totally TRUE STORY!!
We lived in Houston, TX and the Jehovah's Witness thought that we were prime targets for converts!! Well, my husband being the wonderful human being he is :) decided to answer the door right out of the shower!! In all of his glorious God given attire!!!! You guessed it!!! Naked as the day he was born!!!
The old woman and rather young lady were rather startled at his appearance and decided to call the police. That's where this gets really good!!!! Stick with me here....
The HPD officers that showed up to our home (and we lived in the church parsonage at the time) were in great spirits responding to this call. The two officers came to our door to speak with my husband and the following was what was said...
Officer: Sir, we have received a call that you answered your door in the nude. Is this true?
Hubby: Well Officer, I was taking a shower and heard someone at the door and was curious who would be knocking at 10 in the morning...low and behold it was two Jehovah's witness members....
Officer: Well sir, did you expose yourself to these ladies?
(while snickering)
Hubby: Well, I was in my house behind my door, the fact that I was dripping wet from a shower and getting my carpet wet was beside the fact...
Officer: (His partner laughing heartily now) Did you step out on the porch?
Hubby: Now why would I do that?? I didn't step across the threshold of my door. I was inviting them in to talk!! I thought that was what they wanted?!?! ;)
Officer: Thank you for your time sir! That's all we needed to know!! (As they were walking away, they were both laughing hysterically and one looked back to my husband)
Officer: Wish I would have thought of that!! I think that is the best deterant to the Jehovah's Witness yet!!!
We all still laugh about it all of these years later!

They have to leave you alone if you tell them to go away.. If not they are trespassing and you can call the police... You can also call their Church or whatever it is they call it and complain...
If all else fails, call the media.. Headline would read.. Pushy mormons wont accept no for an answer...
Of course you could do a cool sneek attack I saw done in my neighborhood... One of my neighbors got tired of them coming around, so when they knocked on her door, she kept them busy while her son's friend stole the mormom's bike.
Okay so that is mean... But it was funny to watch...
Just tell them to go away... Or answer your door naked...

I just plainly tell the Morons and the Watchtower Society publishers I am not interested in their fairy tales.
For some reason J. Witnesses think the "no soliciting" sign doesn't apply to them.
