When my father died, leaving me without parents. I could not see how anything good could come out of it. And the literal "Why hast thou forsaken me?" I hated God at the time. As time went on I realized what the plan was. I became stronger, successful, and realized He was there all along. I don't thank Him for taking my father, but it was His plan and I'd never be where I am now.

About two years ago when things in my career started going really bad. I had alot of anger and resentment about it and expressed it at everyone including God.

But looking back I am starting to see in how many different ways God was there with me.

You might think he isn't with you. God still gives you trials and tribulations and you can become stronger because of these. Also, God always has a reason for what is done.

I love the story "Footprints" too, but that doesn't mean I live my life by it.

I believe that my deity gave me the strength to live a good and just life, and the courage to do so without needing to be promised a cookie (heaven) or threatened with a time out (hell).

Never. Jesus promised to never leave or forsake us. God is not a man that he should lie! There have been times when I needed to ask God to increase my faith, but I know he is always with me. We can turn our backs on him, but he never turns away from us.
God bless you.
