Me and my brother downloaded limewire and before i used i wanted to know if it is illegal...

It isn't technically illegal, unless used for illegal purposes. You can download 600$ programs off of limewire for free. That would be illegal.

anything downloaded off of limewire that doesnt belong to the host is illegal such as music. Filesharing is illegal because it is considered to be plagarism

Limewire itself is not illegal by itself - it is downloading copyrighted material that is illegal.

Limewire itself isn't illegal, but 99.999% or the stuff people download on it is.
if you download music, or movies, or programs like photoshop or windows, yes it's illegal.

Using it (or anything else) to download or share music, movies or software is a violation of copyright law. If you're caught the fine is between $750.00 and $150,000.00 for each file you download or share illegally.

the program itself is not illegal, but ppl use it to share files, which is illegal if u did not pay for it. downloading copyright material is always illegal.
