Oh, you torturer!!! I have not had a proper dessert in approximately 35 years.
But if you want to know what my memories long for when you say "something sweet," it is shoo fly pie. Do you want the recipe? It's a Pennsylvania Dutch pie which is sort of like a molasses coffee cake in a pie crust. It's almost all sugar in one form or another, but the flavor comes from the special blend of PA Dutch spices and brown sugar and molasses.

my grandma makes these things where she puts dark chocolate in a paper muffin cup just to where it makes a thin circle of chocolate. then she puts 2 blueberrries and a raspberry on each little disk. Then she puts them in the fridge to harden. I can eat like 16 of em. lol
