I think the idea is to be obedient. God will only ask you to do what's best for you. There is nothing he'll ask of you that you shouldn't do. Sometimes doing some of these things can be out of your comfort zone, but in that case, just ask God to help you through it. He's patient with us.

NO NO NO- God is God and we are certainly not- God does not only want our obedience, we should be quick to do what He says- yes, people can make a choice to not obey- but it it is not wise- God knows all and sees all. There has been times in my Christian walk that I did say, no or wait- and guess what each time I did that I knew immediately that it was wrong- when God asks me to do something without hesitation- and I do it, joy comes following obedience, even though what He asked may not have been easy.

Disagree. There are nonetheless agnostics on earth. An agnostic feels that s/he does not yet have sufficient information to make that mandatory determination. an atheist HAS made that determination, and solutions "no".the difficulty is, maximum agnostics now-a-days are truly atheists. they say they don't be attentive to purely to dodge the war of words whilst asked "why" -- and that they've not have been given a sturdy answer. the genuine agnostic is truly searching for understanding of God, yet has no longer comprehensive their seek. they could be doing information superhighway analyze (an extremely undesirable theory) or they could be traveling diverse church homes, synagogues, mosques, or different places of non secular assembly. yet people who're no longer actively looking are, in reality, atheists, no longer agnostics. and of direction, those of use who've got here across the solutions are Christians.

You can answer however you want, He gives us the choice. But there will be consequences for the answer. The correct and right way to answer is Yes Lord, whatever you ask of me, that is what I will do. He is God, He created everything, He sent His son to die for us, He is in charge, therefore, He can answer yes, no or maybe. We should answer yes.

It would be a rather foolish thing to do since God is omniscient, which would mean He would know what is best for us. It is because of this very knowledge (and His love for us) that He denies us that which would not be good for us. We, on the other hand, cannot claim that we have some knowledge that is beyond Him as a reason for denying one of His requests.

No, its not. When God calls us, we must answer him. God's call is first of all to follow Christ and be the person God intended us to be. A committed Christian of faith means developing your capacity to exercise responsible ministry in your church and in the community, as God calls you to do, when he asks it of you. Also remember, God never gives us more than we can handle. He does this so we are ready to answer his call when it is given to us.
“Everyone therefore who acknowledges me before others, I also will acknowledge before my Father in heaven; but whoever denies me before others, I also will deny before my Father in heaven.” (Matthew 10: 32 - 33)
No one can serve two masters; for a slave will either hate the one and love the other, or be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth. (Matthew 6: 24)

LOL. And we do. He also asks us not to do certain things, and we say " Wait".
I believe we all have a special assignment to do while here. It takes time for us to figure out what it is.

you shouldn't but, what about the parable of the one that said right away Lord and didn't do it or the one that said wait or later but, eventually he did do what was asked? Which one is the better?
