If your smoothie is made of ice and grape juice very little "digestion" is necessary your intestine can absorb the nutrients.

I your smoothie is made of yogurt and fruit, for example. A blender has done the "chewing" part of digestion for you.
However, the carbohydrates and proteins and fats still need to be mixed with enzymes in the mouth and stomach and small intestines to be ready for absorption by your body.

Well your body need to digest smoothies like everything else because digesting things is not just breaking them down to small pieces but taking the energy out of the food. Yes you do need to digest smoothies.

Yes, your body digests anything except water. Smoothies are not a drink. They're just runny food.

I agree with Eek, except I use vanilla soy milk and a softer banana for some of the "liquid" part, as the rest of the fruit is frozen. Also, the banana and vanilla soy milk help sweeten it too. I quickly throw together a smoothie when I need to eat pronto and get nutrients quickly to my baby. (I do that with juice, too.) If I make more than what I want at that time, I'll freeze it in a stainless steel hot/cold mug and it often gets the consistancy of a sorbet.

Your body digests everything that ends up in the stomach.

Well if you drink one your body needs to digest it so you don't have an allergic reaction. I don't really get the question though.
