Yeah, just put the egg in a cup first. Assuming it's all going to be mixed together, blend the egg white and yolk together with a fork and then just use half.

First, what type of biscuits are you making that require an egg? Are they tea biscuits? Regular biscuits only use flour, milk, butter or shortening, salt and baking powder. No eggs.
But the answers about making the entire recipe are the best. You can freeze whatever is left over for up to a year. Use leftover biscuits in stuffing.

It doesn't have to be perfect, just use 1 whole egg but if you don't like the idea, bake all 12 and go door to door to neighbors offering nice warm biscuits. That would be a really nice friendly neighboring thing to do.

Try breaking the egg in a measuring cup and whip it up with a fork and see how much one egg measures and then put half of that in the mixture. Me, I'd put the whole egg in, but that's not what you asked. I like it that you are cooking/baking.

Break it into a measure cup, whisk it all together and pour 1/2 in to bowl. May or may turn out, depends on the recipe as far as 1/2'ing everything.

If you are serious, then realize this. The egg you use will have to be blended it, therefore, it will be beaten. So just beat the egg in a cup before adding, then add only half of it.

Since the egg is mixed anyways, scramble the egg and then put it into a measuring cup. Dispense half into your mixture.

No, there isn't a way to use a half of an egg. Sorry.
