yea it plays it
I've got alot of burned cds and movies
they play just fine

it should do, it'll play a whole range of formats, if you still got the box, refer to it, will tell you actually on the box, as DVD-R or DVD-RW and dont worry about any "+/-" signs

the format of HD-DVD cannot be played on the PS3
