And if you were my daughter I would also want to meet the boy that wanted to take you out....and some day if you have a daughter you probably will too.
Be happy your parents let you have a date and aren't so uptight about it that they don't let you do anything like that.
So was it a terrible humiliating experience that he met your parents. Did they embarrass you meeting him? It's not the end of the world. End of the world is when they say you can't date anyone till your older than you already are!
Oh how I know how this is going to come across...like a ton of bricks and something you and most all kids your age do not want to here at all.
But if you could look past the things you disagree with regarding how your parents are with you...its because they love you so much...and want to try to protect you and keep you safe even though they really truly can't, but what kind of parents would they be if they weren't concerned or caring about you. Give em a break. You might not feel it sometimes but your very lucky to have parents that do give a sh*t about what you do. Some actually alot of kids don't have that and believe me not having it is more damaging than you could imagine.

For people still living with their parents this is exactly how it should be. Once you're an adult and move away from home it becomes a bit more complicated and I wouldn't say your parents ever really 'need' to meet them.
