Non-stop from LA to Auckland, New Zealand; and return. The flight itself, IIRC, was about 11 hours in the air.
From LA, I was travelling to Vancouver then across Canada.

We had enough time during the LAX stopover to take the free shuttle to the parking lot and walk up the street to the "In-And-Out Burger". Mmm!

Also went Winnipeg -Vancouver-Honolulu-Sydney.

We had too get off at Honolulu because they were refueling, so we had to go through customs, then security and take our shoes off. So we got to run our toes through the Hawaii beach sand all over the floor at security. that was the hawaii part of my vacation. Of course, it was 11:30Pm so almost everything at the airport was closed or just closing.

At Sydney and Auckland they have the sniffer dogs looking for funny organic material that might contaminate the local wildlife. One guy next to us had spent 3 months hiking in the Rockies in BC, so the sniffer dogs went nuts over his luggage's smell.

as for me... I flew from LA to Istanbul. There's no direct flight yet though. Another time from LA to Thailand. I'm not sure which one was longer - I think the flight to Thailand though. Maybe because I had a 5 or 6 hour layover in Korea. :-/

Africa b/c of her citizenship--she had to enter through a different country other than the US for whatever reason. The longest flight for me--16 hours, Colorado to Eastern Europe.
