We got ours the Cranium Super Fort - that was $20, they also make the Mega Fort, which has more pieces and is about $30.

Other things he likes is a little trike, any water/sand related.

This Richard Scarry Biggest Book Ever - on amazon. It really is big.

He also got an accordian from his grandma, and hasnt put it down since his b-day.

Then theres the t-ball stand, thats battery powered, and pops up the ball too.

Something I just saw, which I wished I would have got him in time for his b-day was a Curious George Book, and the theme was a b-day party. Amazon has these on a buy 3 get one free deal now, and they're only 3.95 each, so you could get a couple.

Another thing is the play-doh kits where you grow hair. We have the barber one, but wish I would have got the pet grooming.

Cars and trucks are a wonderful idea. Remote controlled toys are also really neat.

My son got a Thomas train set and a table to keep it on for his third birthday and he loves it!! His birthday was in March and he still plays with his train set daily. The train set is not electrical -- it has battery operated cars, but most of the time they aren't even turned on.
