It's just a drop in blood pressure
If you've been sitting for a while and you get up fast, you'll get those spots.
It's nothing bad or serious if it happens occasionally, it's just a drop in your blood pressure from rising quickly after a period of inactivity.

I would advise you check with your doctor in case your blood pressure is not at a normal level and also to check the inside of your ears. The workings in them can give a feeling like you are about to pass out also if you have an infection. Please do not wait too long as I am a firm believer of the soonest a thing is seen to, the soonest it is fixed.
Good luck.

Like everyone says it probably does have to do with blood-pressure and it can be considered 'normal', though you will want to check with your doctor.
But also note that it is relevant which direction the spots are moving (away from you, toward you, floating, etc) so make sure to mention that as well: just in case.

Yes it is quite common, if you jump out of bed for the loo too quick the same happens, it is normal. Some times you will feel sick too!
Take your time

Have your doctor check your blood pressure. It may be a little low.
