Ear Plug Question About doubling up?

i am a drummer, and i usualy leave with my ears ringing , sometimes i were external earphones like the ones that go on top of your hears that block 32 dB''s

the question is
if i was to were those 32dB externals ones, and insert internal ones in my ears that are 32 Db also would it block out 64 DB of sound or is it usless?
and will it help me?

It certainly won't hurt. I used to play drums years ago. I now have hearing aids. Block that sound.
