Never received a letter of what I bought, but on the credit card statement, it will show what store you bought the items from.

You will get a statement, not a letter. The statement will outline where you made purchases, but not on what...if that's your question.
More recently, many credit card companies have quit issuing paper statements. Many of them will only email them to you, or you can request a paper copy, but it might cost you.

Not a letter, but you do get a statement at the end of the month showing purchases and payments.

Your statements will only show WHO you bought from, not WHAT ITEMS you bought.
If you're buying naughty things from online companies, MOST of them list a discreet name on the statement, not the naughty website name you may have visited.
