You may have hard water which is causing your skin to dry out. Also it could be your towels too. I would check to see if it is the detergent or fabric softener that you are using. That could be what you are allergic to.. Good luck hun

hard water may play into affect. or it could be the type of soap you use, you might be allergic to it. if you don't moisturize within ten minutes of getting out of the shower your skin loses moisture and may become itchy and dry.

I've got a rare cancer called Polycythemia Vera. One of the side-effects of it causes me to itch excessively after showering or bathing. Because this cancer is so rare, your case might be different. But if I were to guess, I'd say that you're allergic to the soap you're using. Try using a different type of soap; look for a type that says "for sensitive skin."

showering and bathing leach moisture out of your skin. The more you shower, the more you itch. So, get a moisturizing body wash, and then when you get out, apply a good moisturizing skin cream or lotion. I use olay body wash, and johnson's baby lotion after. I shower every other day, or if not heavily active, every third day.

allergy to the body soap you shower with or detergent you wash your towels with. allergy to something in the water. there are times when they add more of certain chemicals because of higher amounts of pollutants. it's summer now and your skin could just be getting extra dry. rubbing you skin to hard with the towel when you dry off. you really should pat the skin dry. i know it's tedious but it makes a difference sometimes.

dry skin. moisturize within 3 minutes of toweling off to keep in the most moisture. some stores (like bath and body works, the body shop) sell in-shower moisturizers. They go on much quicker than regular lotions.
also, moisturized skin keeps its youthful appearance!

You could have dry skin. A lot of soaps make my skin really dry. I would use body lotion after showering, it helps me a lot.

your skin is dry after the water dries off. I like to put lotion on my body right after my shower.
