Are we training Iraqi policemen and giving them guns which they use to kill American soldiers?

Our government cannot account for millions of weapons missing in Iraq, many of which were given to Iraq. Today, I read on the internet that the government of Iraq states that if we leave, a civil war will result, and that we have a "responsiblity" to stay. They insist we must stay until their policemen are "trained." Iraq is already in a Civil War, and we have no responsiblity to let their sectarian violence kill of more Americans. Our soldiers get only months of training, and not years of training like we have been giving to the Iraqi police. Would it be more sensible to withdraw our troops to the borders of Iraq or to certain bases outside of the cities and let the Iraqi government know they must solve their political differences, and that the solution is not to kill American soldiers?

i would say that it is one step worse than that - large numbers of the iraqi military and police force are members of the insurgency.

From looking at Haliburton Sites and other Contractor sites, I see that US is building a rather Huge American Embassy in Iraq. My conclusion is that we will occupy Iraq as we did Japan and many other countries with a fully functioning Military post that will control and "teach"the Iraqis to become Westernized.

It is impossible for us to pull out and let them fight out their war. Our Government will not make money that way. We have a Military Government since 9/11 and the only way to stop it is to have every Citizen speak up and have the Government handed back to the People and take it back from Military control.

We are Indeed a Republic with a Democratic tendency.

If we can all come to an agreement to keep the Original Constitution as it is and amend the rest and let the mass decide, more people may participate in our Government structure.

We have an Election coming up , but the popular votes do not matter since we have an Electoral College who decides the Presidency.

We need to amend all that so that in every election, only popular votes count and all legislation must be brought forth to the people for their vote before our representatives can vote on it.

We need a Democracy. The Republican Ideals do not work for us because we crave true freedom and not told that we have it when we truly do not.



PS... The soldiers are supposed to be training , but they are having difficulties because we do not enough interpreters in Arabic language to help in the training. Also, their Religion dictates their lifestyle, so many refuses to be trained in the American way, it contradicts their religion and many of the Iraqis tends to leave training and never come back.

So, we will most likely be there until they revolt against us totally, or we can kill enough to subdue them like when US dropped the Bomb in Nagasaki and Hiroshima.

Yes, we are... and we are paying for it.

It is part of the idiotic doctrine that "the enemy of my enemy is my friend." Nothing good can come of it. It is obviously an attempt to keep the war going, not to stop or diminish it in any way.

Here's a quick guideline that is almost always true; If you hear it on Fox news, it is the opposite of the truth... Not just a lie, THE OPPOSITE OF THE TRUTH.

If they say "fair and balanced," you know it is completely unfair and totally out of balance.

If they say "it is important," it is merely fluff designed to distract the the weak minds of their audience.

If they gloss over a subject, then it is an important issue. Really important issues Fox news will completely ignore. Therefore if it is on Fox, it is usually not important. Even when the issue is important, their reportage is not news. It is propaganda.

When Fox news reported that this new policy was going to be experimentally invoked, those of us who know truth realized it was for some other purpose.

If it is not already painfully obvious what is going on, this point should make it clear:
Our government has been given free reign to kill, make war, and sponsor more war. Their motive is profit. Until we as a nation wake up and take back our republic, these crimes and this lunacy will continue.

This is the dilemna that a conquering country has to endure.
People in any country put under thecontrol of another country
continue to resist that control and will do anything to disrupt
any government put up by the invading country. And the people of iraq is doing the expected reaction. Unless the
USA extricate themselves from Iraq there will be more lives

chance to govern themselves. The USA has already achieved
their goal in iraq, that is to depose saddam or is it just a

I support the War but what more can we do, there is no threat to the US in Iraq anymore. Saddams gone along w/ his regime and any WMD he MIGHT of had. Those were the goals, not to be sitting ducks in the middle of a Civil War.

It could be, but we will never find out because the President feels that it isn't our business as to what is going on over there in Iraq, but than again, we taxpayers are paying for the war. Makes you wonder huh?
