I have a large 3 inch icon that I cannot remove. Tried to drag the little icon, but the entire name appeared on the desktop. Tried going to programs to find and remove it, but can't find it. I can't move it on the desktop, or shrink it. How do I get rid of it?

If it's just the name that's a problem then just right click on it and give it a shorter name

Right click on it and select delete. If that does not work, then go to windows explorer (right click Start, select explor). Go to your user account, then to desktop under it and you should see the icon, delete it by right clicking and hitting delete. If you do not see it there, go to all users, desktop and it will be there. Also see where it is rooted as you may need to remove the program. It sounds like you have a bug

You didnt say whether the icon leads to a program or not. If it doesnt ,you can just right click and scroll down on the dropdown menu and select delete. That gets rid of the icon but not the program it leads to.For that you have to go to add/remove programs.

To shrink it down to size you right click on the desktop there are many options but there is an icon one where you can select the size to be normal like your other ones!

can you right click it and select delete?
It won't delete the program it's connected to but it will delete the shortcut off your desktop.
