My friend says I should give one to my girlfriend. I don't think she can cook though.

A Dutch Oven is one one partner farts in bed than holds the other persons head under the covers, so they can appreciate the aroma.
It's foul.

Okay, the other answers are correct as far as slang goes. In cooking, a dutch oven is a heavy roasting pan with lid (usually round) that can go on top of the stove or in the oven. Very solid and versatile, and it is a good essential in the kitchen. The other kind I can do without!

It is made from heavy cast iron. It has 3 small legs to support it just off a heat source, and a wire handle that you can hang it over a fire with. The lid also has a small rim around it. This is so you can put coals on top of it to help cook evenly. They have been used for hundreds of years. They worl very well and can be used to bake in, fry in, roast in, or make stews and soups.

I must live a sheltered life.. never heard of the fart thing.....
However, a dutch oven is a large pot (smaller than a stewing pot) that has a lid and handle on either side. They are usually the largest pot included in a set when you buy them as a set.

next time you're in bed with your girlfriend put the blanket over both of your heads and fart.... you just have her a "dutch oven".. lol. you may want to hold her down cuz she'll try to run away..rofl..

It's sort of like a crockpot you put meat in it. I'm not sure exactly what it does, but it is a cooking appliance.
