This has been touched on by others but in essence when Satan tempted Eve he launched a challenge at Jehova God, saying that mankind was perfectly capable of managing without Gods direction and he could rule us beter than Jehovah. A really good account of this challenge is found in the book of Job, chapter 1 when Satan says to Jehovah that Job was only faithful because he was blessed by Jehova. Jehova could have nipped the rebellion in the bud and prevented evil by destroying Satan right at the beginning but that would not have answered the challenge and sooner or later another of the angels might have challenged his sovereignty again. Jehova is a God of Justice, the Bible says he Loves justice (Psalm 37. v 28), so destroying the source of all wickedness would not be just. Satan had to be given time to prove his challenge and mankind also had to be given time to decide whether they prefer a just and incorruptable sovereign or a twisted, evil one. However, there is hope, Jehova promises that all evil will soon come to an end and "he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be any more " (Revelation 21 v. 4). Clearly satans challenge has proved to be false, mankind cannot rule effectively without God and Satan is a very poor choice as a ruler.

If God were to intervene in the affairs of humanity and (justifiably) destroy the wicked, who do you imagine would be left? You? Me? Probably no-one because there is not one righteous person on this planet and never has been, with the exception of Jesus who was without sin. We are all sinners and because God is Holy and Righteous he would have every right to give us our just deserts. The reason God stays his hand is because he has, from time immemorial, worked out a plan for salvation. That plan is Jesus Christ. That's why he came to earth and died for us, so that we might not be destroyed but have life eternal. The longer God waits, the more people will come to Christ therefore more people will be saved.

As a previous answerer said, God does not desire that any be destroyed. He is patient with us, but he will not tolerate wickedness indefinitely. There will come a time when God intervenes. Until that time, we have an opportunity to become reconciled to him, through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. Make the most of the time we have because no man knows the day or the hour.

You are wrong in your coinage. God created wicked act for man to know in reality what they are. I am sure wickedness originated from your so called 'freedom'. Rather than know God as the author and creator of all things good and beautiful and the primal instruction that man must embrace all thats good and shun all evils.
However, to make man know the valus of these evils, he creted them. But due to the paraded freedom- in books anyway- man took evils for good and mixed things up. If you open the can of worm, why complain about being invested by worms? You can be good and Godly, or go the other way and see the consequences. Its a question of choice until we meet God, who'd then let you know that the end of all evils is damnation. So watch out and do GOOD.

A powerful and knowledgeable person like God should not have done that or should have given the proper manual and guidance to avoid it. God permitted wickedness not by choice.

Its documented that he was not happy at all with his creation and decided to flood it to wipe out all trace of his failed experiment. He was also tired to do it all over again and said that this is the last time I will be destroying !

Maybe its high time we change the line in the genesis which says: "God created man in his own image" to "God tried to create man in his own image".

Perhaps take a look at yourself and ask yourself if you could commit such wickedness yourself. God gave all men freewill to choose between His way and satans way. Anyone who has become a 'born again' Christian and is Spirit filled, will not behave in a wicked way by their own choice but guided by the Holy Spirit.
satan is the prince of the earth and has dominion over all the non-Christians...he leads all kinds of people into whatever sin he can tempt them to......but Jesus IS coming back to take the Christians to Gods Mansions (some call it Heaven) wherever they are and all those left will be at the hands of satan and his demons...I know where I want to be...do you?
Best wishes, Mike.

God gave us the freedom and showed the right path to lead a good life. Wickedness is from Satan. We have the choice to follow any of the two.

because of the fact this is a organic international and nature is crimson in the tooth and claw. Nature created us, in spite of the undeniable fact that it does not provide a damn approximately us. the individuals who created God could no longer get around that little subject. a real all efficient being does not have that subject and there does not could desire to be evil or any soreness. particular there could desire to nonetheless be unfastened will. you pick to homicide somebody, sturdy success this is impossible, God made us indestructible. comparable is going for actual soreness, do no longer choose it , this is purely mandatory for survival in an evolutionary sense. a real God could say,"i'm a great "it" (women each and every physique is comparable to adult adult males) so do no longer waste it sluggish and components worshiping me,yet truly spend it helping your fellow people in choose. If one considers the money and time placed into church homes and such, this could be greater suitable than sufficient to feed each and every hungry mouth on earth some time over and nonetheless have lots left to assist with different issues. A organic international purely isn't ideal, yet as an smart species we be able to maintain the suffering to an extremely minimum. regrettably the Gods do no longer pick us to spend our efforts on that.

God was challenged in the garden....God has allowed Man and Satan to rule over the earth in a limited way.....He is still in charge, but allows the world to be the way that it is, for a period of time..The condition of the world, shows how much we need him to be the one in charge of things......He will step in and correct things at his appointed time...that is what Revelation is about.
