Yes, there is much speculation. That we are in the last days is not a debate anymore.
Unfortunately, many are so busy looking around at the signs, they aren't seeking Christ.
Nuclear war? Who can really say? It wouldn't surprise me. But, God has always had a way of using very ordinary things to complete His prophecy.
The picture is becoming clearer, more into focus. How unfortunate the "liberal" Christians aren't able to see what's actually happening.

The Tribulation is the last "week" or "seven" mentioned within the prophecy; therefore it only lasts 7 years. I agree with you that Daniel 9 -- especially when it's understood in light of Daniel 11 -- tells us Israel will be re-established as a nation.
However, Dan. 9:27 tells us when the clock starts ticking to count down the final 7 years: when the Antichrist brokers the "covenent with many."
Before the Tribulation, though, the prophecy of Ezekiel 38 and 39 MUST be fulfilled. If you're not familiar with this prophecy, it tells us that Israel will be invaded in "the latter days" by Russia, Iran and a coalition of other Muslim nations. God will destroy the armies, most of Russia and southern Iran (probably by means of nuclear explosions). We know this must happen BEFORE the Tribulation because Eze. 39 tells us it will take the Israelites 7 years to burn the impliments of war. If the Eze. 38/39 invasion occurs DURING the Tribulation, then the Jewish people will be burning the weapons into the Millenial Age, which is an impossibility. If it happens at the BEGINNING of the Tribulation (as some Bible teachers think), then who will burn the impliments of war at the mid-point? Remember, this is the time the Antichrist will wage all-out war on ALL Jews and none will be safe. As a result, the Jews will flee to Jordan and take refuge in Petra. So how can they be BOTH burning AND hiding to save their lives?
How will I spend the next 2 to 3 years? I plan on telling everyone who will listen -- and many who refuse to -- about what the Bible says. We are in the end times and it's time to make our peace with God.
EDIT: to "Pastor Jaysus," you are obviously unfamiliar with both history AND the Hebrew word used in Daniel 9, which is actually "sevens" not "weeks." Bibles refering to "weeks" are actually mistranslations. Also, Israel has only been reborn twice: once after the Babylonian exile and again in 1948.

HI Marianne,
In the year 2012, The Sun will go through a traumatic
change which will cause it's magnetic poles to reverse
due to what it called Sunspot cycles which will produce a
BIG SUNSTORM which will send a HUGH plasma cloud
towards the earth. The Sun as you know or may not is
a magnet also, but much more powerful than the earth.
What will occur is that the Earth will have it's magnetic
poles reversed also which will have a devastating effect
on the entire planet. All types of disasters will occur
at once, Hugh Tsunami, Volcanic Eruptions, Earthquakes,
all electrical power sources will become useless, the list
is horrendous. But this is nothing new because this has
occured before in the past, circa, 9,979 B.C. And due to
the presessions and cyclical cycles of the Zodiac & Sun,
It's time has come again, The earth will shift it's magnetic
poles from North to South, and from South to North.
As far as a Nuclear War is concerned, this catastrophe is
much Worse on a grand scale and quite frankly, the world
in general is not prepared for it and will not take it seriously
which as usual is the case senario. Well in The Bible it
states that the heavens will shaken from their foundations,
and the earth will experience traumatic events, this change
in space and in the earths magnetic poles will ultimately
bring it about. So where will you be in 2012?

>> Why do the Jews forget approximately Daniel 9:23-27? How ought to they >> omit the time of the Messiah's prophesied arrival? Don incredibly does have the stunning theory -- for Yahushuah fulfilled over 3 hundred prophecies for His Coming. the sole situation He did no longer fulfill became the expectancy the hierarchy of the Jews had for Him. guy can particularly be very obdurate. in the event that they are not getting precisely what they elect, then they do no longer elect to have self belief any information to the alternative. Even then, whilst they're finding on the actuality, they'll p.c.. and choose which of those Truths they'll settle for. Christians, generally, are precisely a similar way. way too most of the fashionable Christian faith isn't based on the Bible in any respect -- in basic terms via fact the Jews expectancies of the Messiah are no longer based upon all the Bible Truths on the subject. The Jews rejected the section approximately how the Messiah would go through and die. they simply needed to settle for the section approximately Him being a effective conqueror (at His 2d and third Comings). Likewise, as an occasion, Christians in basic terms elect to settle for the section approximately Grace and forget with regard to the section approximately Works and coming up a sinless existence, by using Christ, *formerly* He Comes returned. God bless.

Couple this with the possibility that 1967 and the six day war in which Jerusalem came under Jewish control could have been the 119th jubilee year and that the next jubilee year will be 50 years later or 2017.
Then start counting backwards from 1967 every fifty years and see what signifigant events happened in those years.
1917 British Foreign Secretary Arthur Balfour issues a declaration calling for the establishment of a Jewish homeland in Palestine.

This is awesome ! I have been studying this topic off and on for some time and i have came up with the same time span, this is tied in to the parable of the fig when it's branches are tender and bringeth forth leaves,. know that this generation shall see all these things come to pass before his return. This generation would start during Israel's rebirth (1948) I have considered the 40yr, 70, and the 120yr generation also,..... but it seems that the 70 yr fits,... i will be putting more time in this study because I'm not totally for sure,........i know we will not know the day or the hour but the Lord has given us the chance in these last days to know the generation and the 70 yr generation is coming to a close but their is still the 120 yr. generation,..........but i don't think all this can hold on for the 120 yr. generation at the speed of all the things that are going on around us in Prophecy,........these are my thoughts,....... none the less it does say that these last days are compared to labor pains before his return and labor pains are contraction that happen closer and closer till you give birth,.............so lets consider these last day prophecies will escalate at faster rate till his return. God Speed my friend!

Dear Friend,
Jesus said this:
Matthew 24:36
[ The Day and Hour Unknown ] "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
Luke 21:34
"Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with dissipation, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you unexpectedly like a trap.
Jesus said nobody would know the day nor the time, therefore no amount of interpretation can pin down a year day hour or second. Jesus gives us plenty of warning of what to expect in the last days, we are indeed seeing many of these things now. We are commanded to preach the Gospel and win souls for Christ, this is what we should be doing!!
God Bless

Um, well you gotta remember the day for a year rule, which is 70 weeks of years, or 490 years. Start counting from the time the Israelites went back to Jerusalem from Babylon. Somewhere in there you should see Jesus appearing as the Messiah in 29 CE, and it ended with the destruction of Jerusalem in 70CE.

I say no but that is because I am not a Dispensational. I believe the purpose of the 70 weeks prophecy was to inform the Jews of the coming of Jesus and His Crucifixion and Resurrection. I believe when Rome destroyed Jerusalem in AD70 that was the completion of the 70 weeks prophecy. You are speaking of the Pre-millennial view. My view is more towards the Preterits thinking. I am not a full preterist. I guess I am more of an Amillenial in terms of end times prophecy. I am sure most people do not agree with me. Great Question. Thanks.
