What do you like to do while your fishing?

like eat sunflower seeds, drink beer, have a picnit? do you have any fishing routines???

The front of my Jon boat is usually covered with sunflower seeds while fishing. Those things are so addictive. My preferred drink of choice on the lake is iced tea. I usually take a pitcher full in the ice chest along with bottled water, or hot coffee in cold weather.

In my experience, there are two types of recreational fishing: fly-fishing and drinking. When I want to fish, I go fly-fishing. It requires too much physical involvement and attention to details for much else. When I'm just wanting to hang-out with friends, I'll hit a pier or go out on a boat, set my rod(s), and open a few beers. Occasionally, our revelry will be interrupted by an actual fish on a hook.

I will second what was stated by JohnO. When i flyfish its all I do its to demending to do anything else, but i do find time to sit relax and drink a beer sometimes. When i just relax and do some bait fishing i drink beer and eat snacks.

When fishing, I either (a) catch fish, or (b) try to catch fish. If the rod's not in my hand, I'm not fishing.
