You can buy potatoes, ready to eat, just needs microwaved, from any supermarked for £1.00 or so.
I've been living by myself for years and never cooked a thing, just microwaved. Why should I start all that fuss and nonsense because you've decided for some reason or other to wash vegetables ..???

I like the slightly more rugged effect you get by leaving the peel on - so I think I'll just scrub them, thanks...

Yes, just as soon as you peel my banana for breakfast. Now that we've covered breakfast and dinner, what do you want to do for lunch?

I am curious what you are making for dinner now (I don't know why but you better tell us!) I think I am having potato soup for dinner now thanks to you :)
Sorry to sabotage your question here but thanks for complimenting my tie in one of my own Q's. You can't see to clearly but its a stripey pink silk tie (my favourite) on a pink shirt with a white collar. I appreciate you erm appreciating it :)
