I have a routine that I follow every night. For the thirty minutes prior to going to bed, I relax, no tv, no stimulation, no computer time. Often I will read a book, or just sit and meditate. Then I go to the bathroom, brush my teeth, and go to bed. It takes me about 10 minutes to fall asleep. I also go to bed at the same time every night. This routine makes the body ready for sleep and accustomed to going to sleep at the same time. In fact, once you get into the pattern, you start feeling sleepy when that half hour period rolls around. It's all about setting your biorhythm.
