I believe that "from the abundance of the heart, the mouth will speak..." If someone you had only spoken to had to place a judgement on what kind of person you are, only on what has come out of your mouth, the words you have spoken... What would they say about you? are you really a good person at heart if you are speaking ugly things? ...would you be proud of what you have portrayed yourself as?

I am not saying you must be perfect only that we should really watch what comes out of our mouths. The tounge holds death and life. Which are you speaking that outweighs the other?

Great question. One that i have considered often, but not often enough. I have a bad temper that I try to control and a foul mouth that I try to control. I am sure that I do not give the world the impression that I would choose. In my heart of hearts, I know who I am and what I stand for, and what I believe, but I am sure this is not what the world sees. Fortunately, the world will not be my final judge, and the One who will, knows my heart. I hope and pray that my family, who gets to see me more often, will see a little closer to the heart.

Is this a loaded question? Pride is a sin.

Very seldom does bitterness come out of my mouth. I try to be a peace maker, but I will also add salt (something to make people think) or humor into a conversation.

There are two kinds of people in this world. Victims and givers. The victims speak bitterness, and that makes them victims all the more.

The only way to stop being a victim is to become a giver. People are Constantly going to be taking from you. You are the one to decide if you are giving it away, or if it is being stolen.

This has a dilemma... the heart has many emotions, given that someone may speak from anger, there is always an opportunity for an apology. Even Jesus succumbed to anger. I believe people would think i spoke from my heart no matter the situation.

This is all good and I agree, but cut some slack. There is no one that is perfect. Did every word out of Jesus's mouth make people feel good. He had religious leaders furious. If you say to me every word out of your mouth is kind and good I would say you are a liar.

this is 2 edged sword. For once because no matter how hard i try not to talk ugly thing sometimes it happens. But I always ask people (whom i trust not many of course) see me from outside of my box it helps me to make myself better.

Of course not. Shame on Christians with foul mouths and negative messages. Telling people where they are going will not bring them closer to God.

We are our actions not our intent. I am not always proud of who I am. I hope I learn from mistakes, and become a better man.
