I am going to my grandaughter´s Christening. Could you please give me some tips as to what sort of gift to give at such a day. It doesn´t have to be something very cheap.
Thanks so much for your help

A nice children's bible
Rosary (if you're Catholic)
Necklace with cross
Picture of grandparents in a lovely silver frame with a loving note from the two of you tucked in behind the photo.

A savings bond or a check to start a bank account is appropriate as is cash.

You can also give some nice piece of baby jewelry; that is always such a nice gift to keep for the baby. A baby ring is a wonderful Christening gift.

I simply had my daughter baptized/christened as good. Usually you deliver cash. Only on account that it is not a birthday, it is not a little one bathe, it is a christening. Kinda like a marriage ceremony reception on account that the loved ones in most cases orders meals and stuff. So cash will cross both in the direction of the rate of the meals or to a couple form of financial savings accoutn for the little one. We're establishing her first financial savings account! That's what we are doing with the $255 (canadian price range) we are doing with it! Hope this is helping!

Something in the way of silver--set of baby spoons, porringer, little cup with initials. Our kids teethed on their gran's Christening cups and kept them as treasured memories when they grew up and had kids of their own. A nice silver or jewelry shop should be able to show you all kinds of these treasures to pick from! Congrats, gran!

It might depend on her age. Our daughter at 3 when she was baptized got a nice cross necklace from her grandparents.
