Hi Nicole,
Have you ever heard the phrase "walk a mile in their shoes" ?
It is completely true.
I had the same negative attitude toward personals sites and couples who met on line. Then I became one of those people. And it's changed my life. She is the most incredible woman, and we would not have possibly met without the assistance of Yahoo Personals.
You can't convince someone else, until they have experienced it for themselves. Just try to describe how something tastes, before they have tasted it. Just doesn't give them the same experience or knowledge.
I would encourage you to just enjoy your experience and get everything possible from it. Don't waste your time or energy trying to convince a nay-sayer. If they have enough disbelief, perhaps they will invest a little courage, apply a little risk, and try it for themselves.
Good luck to you ~

Well honey, if you are fxcking dull, then so am I. I'm crushing tough on a man I met on-line...that is the hindrance with the web. You get to satisfy and fall for effective humans, however as a rule they are thus far away that there is not anything you'll be able to do approximately it. =(

I can say I have trust issues in person. Online, they're worse. I remember the first time I went online and into chat rooms. It was a given that everyone lied. Times haven't changed all that much. I can't see myself trusting anyone I meet online enough to allow myself to become involved with someone.

I think it's jus they are concerned. I mean online a person can be whoever they want to be and when dating you really have to be carefully and look at the signs, good and bad. You never know if someone is just looking for a free ride or true love. It's just different and really, more difficult online.

It's possible but just needs handled carefully. Like someone already said, you can be anyone online. At least meeting them in person means you know a few details for certain, online you never know.

I don't know why they think that. Because a stranger online is just as much of a stranger in a club or something, they can both have the same cruel or great intentions.
