Dang those pesky keys on the keyboard! I bet you meant to hit a "w" when you hit a "m" instead. That's OK, an upside down "m" becomes a "w".
He is probably accessing his oil gland with which he preens himself. Gently take your bird in your hands and move aside the feathers just above the base of his tail and you will find his uropygial gland, which produces the oil. See the link below.

I assume you mean WORMS. Yes, cockatiels can get worms. It is rare, though, in pet birds that are kept indoors. Cockatiels preen all over, including their butts, so this may just be normal preening. If you think it is excessive you should take the bird to an avian vet along with a fresh stool sample.

Hmmm...looked up morms. They are a microscopit people from the planet Snart (also the word for a simultanious sneeze and fart). They are a very peaceful people, but can make your bird's butt itch, as that is the closest environment to their home planet, so they make their homes there.

I think you meant to say worms, and I have never heard of a bird getting intestinal worms. I was a bird breeder for years. I would put your little bird on your shoulder and let him take a shower with you. Most cockatiels love to take baths!!Or put him in the sink with a small bowl of water, so he can splash around in it. If this continues to be bothersome, I would search around for an avian vet. Not all vets are qualified for birds. Please make sure you find one that deals with birds.

birds normally do that. when they appear itching their butt, they are actually grooming themselves. don't you know that the base of their tail is rich in oil? which they reach with their beak to be spread to their feathers all over their body. when they do this, they appear itching their butt. so dont worry, your bird is just fine.
