The answer to this is simple.... Egoism. If a person is better off than another, then feelings of jealousy begins to grow up. Slowly it will result in hate. Then, there are some misconceived notions like fair is better than dark, or this religion is better than the other, etc... And since these notions have been fed from the earliest stage in a life, they pretty much tends to hang around throughout ones life. Its just like learning ABC's & 123 by a kid who do not forget it till the very end of his life. And when people profess such conceptions, there are some innocent people who are misled into thinking that 'Perhaps they are right' which gradually hardens from 'perhaps' to 'yes'.
Of course, it is a waste of time. Instead of contemplating on god & doing good to his creation, people engage in a meaningless fight against one another.

I agree. I think this quote from the movie Jumanji sums up the stupidity of it quite well.
Alan Parrish: Right now, he [The hunter Van Pelt] wants to hunt me and kill me.
Sarah Whittle: Why you?
Alan Parrish: Why me? I don't know. Everything about me he finds offensive. You'd think it'd be a waste of his time.

Why bother? Don't people have better things to do than be rude and cruel and inconsiderate?

It is a waste of time. Hating others because of skin color or different lifestyles can only limit what you can learn about the world.

There is no hate within me. Not over race, color, creed, religion (or lack thereof).

Sometimes dissention is construed as 'hate' when in actuality it is mere difference in opinion. I am of the persuasion that when two people agree on everything one rapidly becomes unnecessary.

It's okay for you to be you and for me to be me. We don't have to agree. We just need to attempt to get along.

Hate and violence is born of fear. They fear these people that are physically different from them. Maybe it is some kind of through back to a long ago age in human evolution when we competed for resources much like wild animals. Anyone that didn't look like you, act like you, and smell like you was probably an outsider and was to be feared and expelled from your territory. Bascially, they are scared and probably a little stupid.

Some people just want to hate, and the easiest thing to hate someone over is something external and not their choice.

The answer is quite long, but can be found under the "social influence chapters" of most psychology text books. Basically, it's about competition.

Absolutly! God considered and created each of these ofthers and it is a complete disrespect of Him to hate them.
That being said, you can hate the actions of others.
Like, I hate people thinking they can bend you to their ways by killing the inocent people around them.
I hate organizations that say wormen can't go to God unless their husbands say so.
I hate laws that say people can kill babies........ etc.

That's why it is done, it's a form of propaganda to distract citizens from what's really going on.
