So there i am in Plymouth City Centre, completely chilled out smoking a cigarette, sat on a citycentre bench. The looks of indignation i got could have killed the most hardy. Goddamit! I mean im out in the fresh air minding my own business! And then you trawl around the pubs and bars, and see the guys and gals stood outside like lepers having drag! I mean!what a liberty! YOUR COMMENTS PLEASE??

To each their own. I believe you have the right to smoke as long as my kids aren't in a closed in place beside you. That's why I don't take them in bars. You should have every right to smoke in bar and outside in public without being hassled. Some people have no manners and think that you should always do what makes them more comfortable and that's just not the case. Maybe if you start blowing smoke on them they will quit giving you the glares. They would probably just get away from you. I would pay money to see some of those proper people get disgusted. lol

In 1950 Dr's Wynard & Graham first linked tobacco smoking with lung cancer. It took until the 1970's before David Owen had the courage to bring in a law banning it's advertising. How long does it take for us to get the message? How many people have died of lung cancer since then?Perhaps the people of Plymouth(David Owen's constituency) had, like me lost a great many dear friends and relations from smoking the weed.God help us if it takes as long for us to get the message about Global Warming.

I have asthma and allergies, so tobacco smoke can put me in a hospital. I know other people who cannot stand it either. Even if you are in open air, your smoke can blow on someone like me. I am a 360 lbs. martial artist, so you do not want to do anything that might put me in the hospital. Your liberty does not include the privelege of doing things that can kill other people, not to mention yourself. Are you able to pay all of your hospital bills when you get lung cancer, or do you expect taxpayers to pay them? Liberty entails mature responsibility, and your submission makes me doubt that you have it.

I smoke very little now, luckily, because it was starting to be a hassle, but if you were having one outside, people should'nt have a problem with it.
