stay away from i was selling my car the other month and still getting these mails sometimes 5 a day.
What happens is in some cases the person does send you a draft you take it to the bank, the bank gives you the credit, someone fetches your car you sign goodbye to it.
then the bank says cheque hasnt cleared and takes money back off you.
NO money no car and you signed it across legally to new owners.

100% scam!!

They will send you the draft or cheque (usually for more than the car is worth).
You pay the draft / cheque into your bank.
You let the draft / cheque 'clear'.
They take the car.
3 to 6 months later, the draft / cheque is returned unpaid, because it hasn't actually cleared. You have now lost your car and you owe your bank money.

This is a well known scam - don't get involved!!

i think of you're risk-free...until he can coach which you knew appropriate to the broken physique and did no longer tell him approximately it. i'm no longer from the two state, yet i understand that a motor vehicle 40-one years previous could have some issues and can be appeared at / the two via the shopper or taken to a storage for them to look it over. If the shopper chosen to no longer do this.. that's his fault. As constantly.. purchaser pay attention !!

Do not release the car until you have cashed the bank draft that could take weeks. I am from Texas too! I have seen lots of people waiting for money and no car..

Be very careful, my partners friend had a motorbike advertised on Ebay, he went to meet the future buyers only to find it was a scam and they took off with his pride and joy worth around 8k. Make sure you have everything signed sealed and in your hands before you hand anything over.

Sounds rather scamish to me! Tell him you will only accept cash on collection! Bankers drafts can be rescinded even after they have been credited to your account. Carefull about test drives too!!

DON'T DO IT.

Recently a 'mailer' wanted to buy a car that was advertised for sale and arranged to meet the couple who were selling - guess what - they arrived, had a gun shoved in their faces and lost the car.

IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHO IT IS - LEAVE IT.
