hey priya.... i'd suggest don't go for online friends much... coz u cant know for sure if he or she is true... i'd prefer making frends with some one directly ... besides ... " its not how many friends that u have , its ...how many of them are true & will stand by u when u really need help .... "

Be yourself. look for like minded people who share similar interests. I have seen your profile you have created your account recently. Posting a question was a good way to start. This way you will understand the attitude of different people. I am sure you are reading the answers people have posted. You are smart enough to judge with whom to keep in touch and whom to omit. I am trying to make friends by answering questions around. maybe this way people can know my thought patterns and I may win some friends. So, all the best, you are doing a good job. Good start! You mean in high school? Go to some school events such as dances, sport games, etc. Also, join some clubs.

Go sit by someone who looks friendly, compliment their clothing or something. Let your natural charm shine through. Never be desperate because you'll end up attracting the wrong people to you. Tell jokes, listen to theirs. Tag along with someone at lunch and talk. Be causal and comfortable with who you are. And people will be sure to remember your name.

just chat from many chat groups like yahoo or msn messanger like that... dont think every one as frinds... just have a track of your chat and remember them surely you can gain some good hearts... just for chatting only means you can get lots and lots of persons in net... but heartly means you have to search a bit...
