It's supposed to be, but like anything else of that nature there are disadvantages.

If you are worried about safety, then it is safe to use except that you have to mention a credit card. If you put your bank account then there is a possiblity that your identity will be stolen. I had my old account closed because I received an email from the adminstrators from paypal telling me that my email, password, and security question has been changed, but I never authorized these changes. So, be careful.

Yes PayPal's safe but I prefer my a.K.a Card because I don't get any of the phishing emails that ask for your password and I can use it everywhere instead of just at ebay and Amazon.

Yes, there are millions of people using it. But, there's a caution. You will likely get lots of "phishing" emails, trying to get your account number/password. Be aware of them. These do not come from paypal.

Yes, it is quite secure. The only precaution you should be aware of is the tremendous amount of phishing done to try to get your password. You will get emails that appear to be from pay-pal asking you to confirm your account numbers and password. These are all scams and you should never give out this information. Pay pal will never ask you for it. While pay pal goes after all of these sites they still continue. So as long as you don't fall for a scam Pay pal is as secure as your bank.

Yes, but read up on it carefully. PayPal has a bad reputation.

Please, be very careful with Paypal, they hijack customer's money so they can day-trade it and put the profit in their own pockets. So they usually use "Money on hold" or "suspicious activities" as an excuse to use their customer's money.

Please check this out, and please notice that they advertise another product. Since I don't know this product and I don't know anyone who does you should distrust it too.

Good luck and please let other's know about these obscure practices. Probably a congress person would be able to help.
