Yes, The bibles has some contradictions. For those of you who know a little bible history, you will realize that the bible has been around for a long, long time, and translated from language to language. In all that time, people have changed little bits of it to match what they were teaching better. (not all religions have done this). Besides, how many different versions of the bible are there? Only one of them, if any of them, can be perfectly correct.

Numbers 23:19 - How is this a contradiction or error? In this verse, God states He is not human and therefore does not lie or turn back on His word. John 5:19 - This passage, if you go all the way through it, basically states that Jesus does what God wants. What is the contradiction/error? "Also the 7 Day Creation." Actually, it was 6 days... "How can Jesus be God, if he needs to eat?" Jesus was basically a human incarnation of God. Let me just repeat the keyword in that phrase: human. All humans eat, it's natural. John 16:12 - Jesus said this. The prophet Muhammad came at least a few hundred years after Jesus, so no. "Also the Bible has been changed and curropted..." Not as much as you'd think. There are definitely slight translation errors but apart from that, though every Bible isn't always perfectly consistent with the other, it's important to realize about 75% of the variants are due to spelling differences (ex. John vs Johnn). A large category of variants is consumed by synonyms, which doesn't take away from the meaning behind the text. For example using "Lord" vs "He". With all variants considered, only about 1% actually involves the meaning of the text, but even that can be an overstatement. For example, there is disagreement over whether 1 John 1:4 should be written: "Thus we are writing these things so that OUR joy may be complete" vs "Thus we are writing these things so that YOUR joy may be complete". This example might involve the meaning of the text but in no way jeopardizes a central doctrine to Christian faith. "There is also nowhere in the bible where Jesus says worship me or i am god." Actually, you were quite close to a portion of the Bible where Jesus associates himself with God. You made reference to John 5:19 but about two verses prior you'll come across this: “My Father has been working until now, and I have been working.” Therefore the Jews sought to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God. (John 5:17-18) Cheers :)

No. Generally, every so called contradiction is cleared up when more understanding comes. It's difficult to see how all the pieces fit until you get to see more of the whole.
The Bible cannot be read like other literature. In some schools, there are courses like "The Bible As Literature."
And inevitably, the course is taught by an atheist.
It is a spiritual book, and things of the spirit can only truly be understood spiritually.

There are many sites that are saying so. I am a Christian and I'll tell you that there are! But the dirty little secret is that many who say that there are contradictions are mistaken as to what they are calling contradictions. What they do is list an incredible list of things that no one wants to spend time on to go over every point. Thanks for not doing that.

The thing is: the one's that don't believe in the Bible suck at scriptural exegesis. It's a flaw of theirs that they are not interested in correcting.

So the errors are not the many that they attempt to point to, and it was never meant to be perfect, as nothing on earth is perfect. But inspired? That's a different story. That's not enough for many people, but it's enough for those who believe. Jesus made it simple: Believe in Him and you will be saved. And that's where I rest.

Some people will argue that point and trash the whole book on a few statements...

Others will say that they are not contradictions, just different points of view from different eye witnesses.

Personally, I believe that if you are serious about studying the bible, those places where it seems to contradict aren't over anything terribly important.

What one really needs to decide is what is their heart telling them?

According to my understanding and studies about the tex, there is no single verses that is contradict to each other. They just seem to be contradiction but if we read about it with the context and study deeper about it then nothing is contradicting.
They just need some effort to study and to know the context of the original writers. and primarily recipients.

Read it and find out =P
If the bible claims (and it does) to be the word of God,

If what the bible claims (and it does) that every soul will stand before God and judged for their lives,

If the bible claims (and it does) that there's only 1 way to heaven and it's through the son of God, Jesus Christ,

If the bible claims (and it does) that God would indwell a person if they're saved,

dont you think, you should read this for yourself to find out?

Instead of relying on some random people on yahoo answers; make the decision for yourself!

Get into other religions, before Christianity... You'll find a lot of borrowed traits... Humans wrote the bible 400+ years after Jesus' time! Word of mouth NEVER holds up!

Yes, the bible contradicts itself all over, can you expect more from a book that's been passed down through generations of corrupt people? Speaking of which, don't you think it's funny how they keep making new versions. It's like we have a correspondant up there with god, yelling in his mic, "God don't like this anymore guys!"
