There is something coming up in your life. It is an event that you have trepidation about. You are expecting things to go wrong. That is why she was washed over 3 times. The last time your subconscious was looking for alternative outcomes. Anyway it's something you are stressing about. And the outcome may go better than you expect. That's what the 4th repeat is telling you. So stop stressing and see what happens. You may be surprised. You may even shine like a star.

Here's an educated guess,,,,The girl(if not someone you recognize)could represent you. The boat in water could represent your sanctuary in the midst of all the uncontrollable turmoil. The waves could represent any issues you may be dealing with in real life. When the waves or the issues start multiplying or certain ones get bigger they come crashing down on you.The drowning is just being swollowed up with all that is going on. With it happening over and over, seems like you pick yourself back up somehow after each blow but from out of nowhere it happens again, like as if you dealt with it but, either just for a moment or a whole new set of problems come alone. Then at the end you find yourself sitting, the stare could mean the content not to let it happen again, your relaxed now that your sitting. Like problem solved. Question,,just for your own mind,,,Do you find the same problems coming up over and over in your life,,Do you feel like your too kind hearted, that your easily become a push over letting the same things happen up until you have had enough and stand your ground? They say the first sign of insanity is,, to keep doing something over and over while expecting a different result. But we both know your not going insane, well at least not yet, lol. Honestly, it could mean absolutly nothing too. The only answer to trust is the one you have for it,you know you the best.

I looked at all the answers. The only credible answer is Dragon's. (Rena comes close.) The problem is, that people are making jokes about your dream, or speculations based on absolutely nothing that they know about you. You can go to many websites & find the meanings of water, color, snakes, whatever. They are so generalized as to be of no use, anymore than horoscope projections based only on your sun sign. Dreams have far too many dimensions to be opined on by others. I've been researching the apparent mystery of dreams, (there are many types of dreams), for years. Someone knowlegable about dreams could help you figure this out, but only by asking questions, not giving directions. No disrespect, & I'm sure it was well intended, but the copious answer was only generalizations. If you want to really understand this dream, the work will have to be done by you.
Edit: Read also TennMan74's answer. Especially, "...you know you know the best."

You certainly have vivid visual recall of the dream. I wonder, what were your feelings? Your emotions, if any? Dreams are rich in metaphors & symbols. Everything in your dream is really YOU. You might want to explore it, & see if you can associate with anything--in your "real" world. Of course it felt real, just as when you're awake, it feels real, although sometimes, people question at which time are they really dreaming. I'm intrigued by your "memory." Many people don't remember that well. One thing you didn't mention, was your emotions. Did you fear for her, want to save her, FEEL anything? There's no right or wrong if you did or didn't, but it does make a difference to YOU. & only you, the dreamer, can "figure it out." There are many simplistic interpretations of dreams. You are totally unique, & this is your unique dream. No one can tell you what it means. Try taking a journey--you might be surprised at what you may find.

Dreams are metaphors and symbols of our conscious selves. To repeat a dream is in a sense to work towards a resolution. Water is an ancient symbol of both life and death, and if as you say the river was beautiful around her and deep I would say you're trying to sort out, understand, and reframe issues which are positive in your life, but confusing. We are always the characters in our dreams, as well as the dynamic forces, no one else can really interpret the meaning of all the dream's colours and moods, or your sense of deja vu. There is a strong feminine symbolism to the boat. It's good you see yourself in control on finally awakening
[ edit: The previous two answers are a definite compilation of the best in dream research and theory. I'm a person who works with symbols.]
{My eldest daughter went on Outward Bound, an outdoor adventure program of discovery and challenge. She did it as a way of challenging her limits, others had been sent there as part of a sentence for drug related crimes. The program involved survival skills, camping, public service projects, and white water canoeing through dangerous rapids in the mountains of Appalachia. One day they went through a deep canyon, with stacks and whirlpools, and many of the colours you described. Around the campfire that night she told the others of all the beautiful things she'd seen. Others said, "Wow, what are you on!, and how'd you get it past all the searches?" She was high on nothing but life, they'd had the same experience, but were nothing but tired and angry and hadn't seen a single thing that day.]

It could be each item in the dream has a meaning, or it has a meaning as a whole. Its hard to determine, and sometimes you won't know what it all means until it's too late. Here's some of your elements and what they could mean:
Rivers and Streams
A river or stream can mean a journey, going from one stage of life to another. Rivers 'go places' and help you reach destinations. Are you on a fun float trip, or are you getting stuck in shallow places? Do you feel frightened and frustrated, or are you able to adapt and "go with the flow"?
Water:
Dreaming of clear water is a sign of great good luck and prosperity, a dream of muddy water foretells sadness or sorry for the dreamer through hearing of an illness or death of someone he/she knows well. Dirty water warns of unscrupulous people who would bring you to ruin. All water dreams, other then clear, has a bad omen connected to it and should be studied carefully and taken as a true waning.
Boats:
Boats are made for the water. And since water often symbolizes your emotions and spiritual growth, boats denote your spiritual side, your soul. Some boats, like cruise ships may imply a need for vacation or fun, while sailboats reveal skimming the surface of your subconscious. Since sailboats, unlike powerboats, are powered by nature (the wind), they reveal a deeper state of consciousness and faith. Whether or not you're sailing smoothly is, of course, key! Rowboats imply that you are struggling through life and going the hard way, while paddleboats show that you are using your own strength and power and are self-sufficient. If the boat crashes or capsizes, you may be afraid of literally being "tossed out."
Orange
Orange is typically a color of well balanced, positive energy. Orange is sometimes associated with autumn and Halloween/Samhain. As such, in dreams it may signify the completion or fruition of plans or a creative endeavour. In Eastern mysticism, orange is the color associated with the second chakra, which is located just underneath the navel. The second chakra contains information about our emotions and our creativity. Dreaming of a clear orange color may indicate a well balanced emotional life while dreaming of a burnt orange color may indicate muddled emotions or a feeling that we've been 'burned' emotionally.
Female:
A woman appearing in a dream represents the feminine and intuitive. If you are a woman, she may represent you or your mother. The role the woman plays in the dream indicates the person or aspect of the self that she symbolizes. If you are a man, she may represent the feminine side of your psyche and personality: the side that is sensitive, caring and nurturing. How you react to the woman in the dream can indicate your comfort level with this aspect or how you relate to women in waking life.

The girl you saw in the boat could represent someone you know. Usually rivers represent obstacles and the issues of life. This girl may be someone you know who has struggles in her life which she is drowning in. That's why you see her falling into the water drowning. And, your dreams will repeat themselves over and over at times, because you are still aware of circumstances in people's lives and it has not changed. That's why when you get to the 4th dream she did not fall in, because she is no longer having the struggle overcome her.

The girl represents you. The boat represents your current favorite activity, ostensibly Y!A P&S. The orange valley represents your Y!A Kick Me! badge. The large wave symbolizes an unmanagable amount of answers you are going to have to deal with. After the fourth time this happens, you are just going to say the hell with it and sit there and stare at nothing dumbfoundedly, and let the next one go to a vote.

I am not sure this dream is symbolic and can be interpreted by using symbols, but it does seem like the girl was trying to teach you something. In the end she was probably teaching you to survive - by showing your courage to be positive and embrace the beautiful.
